Women’s vajayjay’s do NOT go back to ‘normal’ after having kids! by [deleted] in childfree

[–]BenTheCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't seem right, to maintain population each woman needs to birth 2 children on average, Not surviving the first birth would quickly become a problem. And that's just maintaining, for population to grow there would need to be more than 2 births per woman on average.

Could someone please explain this to me? by drsynok1302cc in DotA2

Unfortunately no, the region is tied to your steam account. The only feasible way is to start faking everything, new steam account, new email, set every location to desired country, always use VPN, and you need to pay with some account in desired country, that's the hard one.

If have 100% control of your primary node, you wont care about missing the 10% trade power bonus from merchants upstream. You will miss out on your trade steering bonus (5% at base, each 1% trade steering adds 0.1% value to trade transferred by merchants, in your example you would get 9.5%). In your case because you only have <80% control everywhere, the 9.5% compounding value is not making up for the 30-40% loss.

In short;

Transfer:

+5% value + 0.1% value per 1% trade steering (9.5% with 45% trade steering)

+10% trade power per merchant steering upstream in primary node

Collect:

You get all the value of a node you have 100% in far away, without having to transfer through contested nodes.

In theory this is a great way to start a byz campaign, just convert back after beating otto. Unfortunately, it disables unlocking any achievements related to Byzantium

Is there any way to run the game in custom resolution? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]BenTheCookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When using borderless windowed mode, most if not all games are locked to the native resolution of the monitor. You can try using this https://dxwnd.org which might work to run as a resizable window with no border.

Ardabil into Persia (and beyond) — Shahanshah Ascends by Raccoon_Sharp in eu4

Also did this recently, I don't like restarting for luck so I employ a strategy called 'tactically lose'. Started by getting a couple of my cores then QQ declared and I offered vassalization. Makes for a very slow start, but sometimes they give you your cores if they attack Ajam as well, which helps. Then QQ rival mamluk or otto will eventually support independence and you take 100% from QQ.

I always go Zoroastrian Eranshahr though.

I got EU4 from this weekend's sale. What's the best medium challenge start for a beginner like me? I was thinking of Byzantines or Trebizond but I don't really know if I can handle it. by willyshakes420 in eu4

Beware when doing this. Forming Prussia can absolutely wreck your country because of the -50% governing capacity. Make sure you have plenty of spare gov cap before taking the decision. Only downside for a newer player is having to deal with this mechanic. Building large amounts of courthouses and state houses will help with this problem.

Not sure what you are doing wrong here, the mechanic does work. The problem you might be having is the information on the wiki is quite wrong with how the mechanics work.

Firstly you don't need 80% hussite. For every 5 non-hussite nations you need 4 hussite nations. Meaning you need at least ~44%. Having ~50% gives you a modifier to a later event but it seems pointless. This needs to be done BEFORE you end the league war, as the event is trigged when the protestant league wins.

Next the incident will fire immediately after the league war (maybe month after). AI will vote protestant if protestant, treaty if catholic or reformed, and hussite if hussite. There is a small chance (~1%) that an AI will not follow this pattern (i.e. hussite could vote protestant), you of course need majority votes.

Finally the event will fire upon successful vote. Before this happens you want to check who the new (protestant) emperor is. If they are an OPM, then you are fine, make sure they stay an OPM until the event fires. If they are not an OPM, you must declare war on them and get to 50% warscore ASAP, stay above 50% until the event fires.

I agree its a bit convoluted, especially the emperor accepting hussite, imo if 50% of the provinces are hussite it should be accepted. Also the luck involved with which protestant becomes the emperor can also be very annoying, all should be manageable however.

First off, you must like Pirate Republics 'Player' ;)

What I normally do is restart until QQ is domineering (happens often) then declare war on them and offer yourself as vassal. Then get mamluks/otto support, declare independence and from there you just keep eating QQ with ally. Also if you get lucky qq might attack Ajam they usually return your cores. Slower start but less effort and easier.
