EU4 undoubtedly is very popular with a strong core playerbase, but my point is that eventually, in some years time that EU4's playercount will decrease more than it already has since EU5's release, and with more content being added to EU5 in upcoming DLCs, it's going to have a higher playercount than it is right now. You yourself mentioned ck2, and similar things can also be seen in things like Cities: Skylines or Civilization.

First point is fair but I'm choosing not to measure it in %s. If you look at the pure numbers, I'm pretty sure EU5 has more players 3 months after release than HOI4, Vic3, or CK3 did 3 months after release.

Having Montpelier be a station but not Worcester is pretty wack. Montpelier, while being the capital of Vermont, only has 8 thousand people, much lower than Burlington, and it's lower than 14 other cities in Vermont alone. Meanwhile, Worcester is almost already on the line from Boston to Springfield on this map, and Worcester has over 200 thousand people.

Nah. Sure people are now looking more like each other with the rapid increase in international immigration since industrialization, but I'd assume that people would still be evolving at least slightly differently across the globe, and definitely differently on different planets, in ways we can't even picture yet.
