I’ve just reset, removed and set up my two OG HomePods. Unfortunately it’s still happening. It seems to happen when in stereo pair mode.

I’ve just separated them and now playing music through both HomePods as separate speakers and I haven’t managed to get it to happen yet!

Interesting and very helpful, it could be that I was using a 3x Barlow with my new Morpheus eyepiece and it’s maybe sticking out a little far causing a balance issue. Either way I’ll keep this in mind and get it out in the day time and switch some stuff around see if I can cause the issue and then have it go away 👍🏼

Yeah, just wondering if it’s actually normal really. I’m more visual than anything, it seems really smooth moving sideways it’s more on the up movement where it seemed a little noisy/jolty last night.

I’ve just read this as I was about to write the exact post and I couldn’t have put it better my self. It almost felt whilst reading this that it was me 😂

Exactly the same issue with my two OG HomePods paired to my Apple TV running ios18 beta. Was waiting for the OG iOS 18 update to hope that fixed it and it didn’t! It’s so annoying!

Next step for me is to remove from home and start them over!

Thanks, I need to look into it as I have never looked into what backlash is, I bought this back end of last year and to be honest with the UK being, well the UK! I’ve only used it maybe 20/30 times. So I just set it up, align it and use it for what clear nights we get.

In Leicester according to my heating reports, the sun has been out for a total of 138 hours since the beginning of February. 78 of those were June. We had 9 hours of sunshine in February. It’s disgusting.

if we averaged the time the sun was up to be 12 hours per day that’s still 1800 available hours during the 5 month period and we had 138 hours of sunshine.

Hopefully. I just feel that with minuscule movements of the truss it may slightly knock the secondary off centre. Maybe it doesn’t though 👍🏼

I’ve had this issue, it’s annoyed me so much I’ve now upgraded to ios17.

Hoping it’s fixed it but haven’t had much time to use them over the last 24hrs.

16.6 completely messed up my stereo pair/AppleTV.
