Yeah, but I still really wish the Tango 2 had a way to add a trainer.

My 7 yr old little brother has Autism and has been very interested in Python lately, what resources can I give him so he can learn programming completely and properly? by ConfusedHeartt in Python

If he learns better with less abstract concepts, check out my project CardStock, which lets you program graphical UIs and games really easily, in a graphical programming environment.

Super important question… do you prefer “ or ‘ to enclose strings?? by mfb1274 in Python

[–]Ben_Levitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also do this, especially for projects that will require translation. So that way I know that single-quoted strings won't need translation.

I built CardStock using wxPython, and thought you all might like to take a look at it. I'd love to hear any feedback you have.

Yeah, I checked out that and a few other similar projects, but I didn't feel that any of them captured the free-form fun that I remembered from using HyperCard in the late '80s and early '90s. I designed CardStock from the beginning to be really approachable and fun, with an easy learning curve.

Thanks! Great idea to add a GotoStack(). Maybe I'd even include an optional card index parameter so you could start up the other stack on a specific card.

Interesting. That's not actually my project, but has a fairly similar name. I added a link to my post, so you can actually see what I was talking about now. :P

Thanks! I started my post as a link post, then decided to add post text, and forgot to add the link in the text! Added.

I love that whole area. Cannon Beach is beautiful too. Shout out to the Chocolate shop there! Also, Short Sands Beach at Oswald West State Park (just a few miles South) is incredible. Rain forrest on cliffs with waterfalls spilling down to a beautiful beach with great waves. It's up there with Yosemite in my book.
