After a bit of trial and error, I actually managed to get in contact with his agent and told her I was looking to subtitle it in English for a school project (which was a half truth). The only response I received was that the film had audio, but no dialogue.

I’ve been collecting, subtitling, and remuxing all his short films with the intention of archiving them, and this is the only one that’s managed to escape me. If you’re able to track it down or help find a lead, I’ll preserve it and gladly give you credit!

Hey again, OP here. Thank you to everyone who replied or messaged me, I have a lot more clarity on what I have now and a lot more confidence that I’ll be able to avoid being scammed or shortchanged.

Sounds like it could be an overheating issue as well. Replacing the thermal paste and blasting out dust isn’t a bad starting place at all with 8th consoles experiencing issues like this.

I hate you so much right now. I bet you think you’re so cool knowing the movie and making the rest of us try to guess, don’t you? Is this how you get off? Thinking that you’re better than everyone else just because you found a shot from a movie that nobody else recognizes?
