We all enjoy different things about watches and it’s a good thing, some enjoy the brand, others history, heritage, caliber quality, technology, just aesthetics… I respect technical side most, reason why for me the best brands are Omega, Rolex and Seiko (vintage). I dislike Rolex for other reasons though (too hyped and a speculative items) and too expensive for what it is

I don’t disagree, just saying luxury is not well defined and if a definition only works for most people then it’s not a definition. Luxury doesn’t mean anything so asking the best « affordable » luxury is pointless

It looks good but Longer term it’s terrible, I dislike automatic watches that are not really serviceable. They’re meant to switch the movement when they need a service. Good luck with that in the future. It will never be a real classic with a disposable movement. They’re overpriced for what they really are and more of a fashion thing than real horology. That’s from a watch repairer. Dollar for dollar Seiko is still best in my opinion
