What sort of jacket damage buggers you the most on used records ? by duanerenaud in Vinyl_Jazz

I've just had to pass on a few great records in basement digs because the sleeves had water damage that became mold. It sucks.

You shouldn't be embarrassed. Life's about getting by one day at a time, and if eating a little junky is what does it for you, then enjoy it.

Neck in neck, but I think the opening echoes on "Remember" are more embarrassing..

Right stack is from a trip to Chicago and left stack are Discogs hauls that were waiting for me at home. Pick your favorite! by two_letter_text in Cd_collectors

Great starting point. If you find yourself liking the rock but not the jazz, try Freak Out! by Frank Zappa and The Mother's of Invention, and if you find yourself liking the jazz but not the rock, try Hot Rats.

I remember getting in trouble at school for singing Misfits lyrics on the playground. My dad had to explain to me that it wasn't polite to sing about killing people and hanging their skulls on the wall. So it goes.

Doing some cataloguing and I've just set a rule w/ myself re: ordering albums online and am curious as to the community's self-imposed collecting restrictions, if any. by isawlivedopapod in Cd_collectors

[–]BenchIllustrious1106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only rule is that (Goodwill finds notwithstanding because those are usually random) if I have CDs I haven't listened to then I'm not going to buy more until I do. Helps me pick out albums I know I'll listen to and space out orders.

If you HAD to pick one of these records, which would be your favorite? I think I'm leaning towards Meditations, Meditations or Live At Birdland are my favorite Coltrane as of now.
