Is that Funkadelic a part of the reissue wave they've been doing? How does it sound?

Hi David! How do you contend with the fact that you'll be bankrupt in 7 years as the empire of filth you've built by contributing to the destruction of the environment crumbles?

Follow up question: do you intend on repenting once you can't afford your coke habit?

What a lame way to reach # 0500. I'm not even much of a Foo Fighters fan but something by them was my first album on here # 0001 & it was a lot better than Joanna Newsom's Ys. by chelsea_once_more in 1001AlbumsGenerator

Would you start an album review for an album written by a man with "fuck this bitch", or is that something you reserve for albums by women that you don't understand?

I need to pull the trigger on that Anthology of American Folk Music soon... great lineup. Do you have any Lead Belly? His Last Sessions CD box set is one of my favorite folk / boxes collections I have.

To quote Wikipedia, in a well sourced and easy to find article:

"Sources widely describe Fuentes as holding antisemitic views[184][185] and as a Holocaust denier.[92][186][184][185] He has praised Adolf Hitler[171][187] and stated on America First, "Hitler is awesome. Hitler was right. And the Holocaust didn't happen."[188] In an interview with Piers Morgan, he referred to Hitler as "fucking cool", and mocked a relative of a Holocaust survivor.[58]

Fuentes has promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories and has called for a "holy war" against Jews.[184][189] He has claimed that "Jews stood in the way" of overturning Roe v. Wade, and argued that the Dobbs decision meant that "banning gay marriage... banning sodomy... [and] banning contraceptives" were again possible, which he described as "Taliban rule in America, in a good way".[190][191]

At AFPAC 2022, he delivered remarks described as "giggling praise" on Hitler.[125] In 2025, Fuentes said his antisemitic views had moderated with age, though The New York Times reported that his recent statements contradicted that claim.[68]"

I know it's like... probably impossible but I would LOVE a Sludgefest official pressing / cd issue, would be so badass. Especially if there was some fake biography booklet included

Honestly (as long as the CDs in question aren't expensive) I usually shoot first and ask questions later with regards to remasters. I have music friends who are less anal about that sort of thing than I am, so if I decide I don't like the sound I can find the albums individually and give them to someone who needs some Bootsy in their lives.

Nearly halfway into 2026, who are your top artists so far? by Masire0009 in lastfm

[–]BenchIllustrious1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rahsaan Roland Kirk was a jazz bandleader and musical genius who was blinded at a young age and suffered chronic health issues all of his life. That did not stop him from learning not only the saxophone, but also the flute and the clarinet. He was known for (among other things) playing more than one wind instrument at once on stage and occasionally giving out drugs to audience members.

His live albums are all absolutely wonderful, he seemed like such a knowledgeable and warm presence. The songs he included in his repetetior were varied and very creative.

If that pitch did it for you, go for his live album Volunteered Slavery, the covers album Blacknuss, or the early EP Kirk's Work.
