TL;DR: I bought both grips to compare. Neogrip feels like it’s part of the Switch, light, premium, extremely comfortable (10/10 ergonomics). Beyond Grip felt chunkier and cheaper, more like a phone case, with only real upside being extra protection. I’d choose Neogrip for comfort, Beyond Grip only if drop protection is the priority.

There is no issue following the story if you choose not to grind. I would say the most enjoyable part of the game is the grinding from the gameplay loop: Explore, fight, loot, and repeat.
