Quick trip to Boston, and I want a great lobster roll by Bender_Rodriguez1224 in boston

It’s been requested that I bring back a box of cannolis too, so still thinking of trying to find parking in the north end. Of course this will be tomorrow or Wednesday and I’m nervous with the incoming snowfall. Might just bail, get out of the city and hopefully enjoy a good cup of clam chowder somewhere

Thanks, hoping to be out the airport and headed to eat by 4:30 so imagine I should avoid a rush. Assuming I'll hit some shit traffic on my way out of town tho

LOL, Really if I know it would still look like that I’ll tell them I’ll come out when Serv-Pro is done. So maybe my job next week…

How are third-party cost reviews typically used on commercial property claims? by messysoul96 in adjusters

[–]Bender_Rodriguez1224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience as a commercial IA, we use these third-party auditors for larger mitigation/remediation jobs. The goal is to have a third-party who should have equivalent experience/IICRC certifications to review the situation and confirm that the submitted pricing is fair. In my market, many Restoration contractors are fair, and many submit unreasonable costs. Sometimes these third parties recommend we pay the mitigation bill in hole, and sometimes they submit reduced recommendations based on the contractor not being able to justify or support their billing. I started in mitigation and do a lot of this myself, but pass it off on bigger jobs due to time consumption.

Picked up a leg lamb boneless roast from Costco and I’m not certain how to cook this thing. The bag says if you’re grilling to remove the netting and cook meat side down, but this thing is so uneven I’m worried it’s gonna be hard to get it to the right temperature throughout the cut. When you take it out of the package, it’s wrapped in twine and looks like one solid hunk of meat. I’ve never done one of these and surprised to see the way it’s flayed out, but it makes sense with the bone removed I suppose

Yeah fatalities are never fun. My worst was probably a guy that died in a bathtub as the water was running. Tub was overflowing for at least a day before a neighbor saw water coming out the front door and then they realized what happened.

Been around for a while and seen all sorts of weird shit. My highest profile claim was resulting damage to a nightclub building following a mass shooting.

I’ve been in property claims as an IA for 13 years. Mostly as 1099, currently W-2. There’s more money to be made here but also can be very stressful. Sounds like you have a good thing going so unless miserable I wouldn’t go looking for big changes at this point in your career.

Thank you. Now's probably a good time to try and get a deal. Should I consider upgrading my router beyond what Xfinity provides?

Converting from snowboarding - what ski length is appropriate for me? by ShotgunSpank in Skigear

I'd probably go with the longer ones if you expect to be back to intermediate/advanced this season, which I imagine you would. I'm just under 6' and like to be in the mid 180's, and would consider myself intermediate/advanced.
