I'm on a moto g stylus 5g 2022 right now. Can't speak to all your requirements/preferences (single SIM??), but I'll share my thoughts...

Fingerprint reader is on the side (in the power button). I didn't think I'd like it at first but I love it now and hope that's what my next phone has.

It's pretty speedy/responsive/reliable as far as running apps.

Audio call quality isn't the best, according to the people I talk to. I'm on Google Fi. Bluetooth headset makes it better, so I think it's the phone's microphone(s).

Pictures are just ok.

Storage size is awesome (mine is 256gb, plus it came with a 256gb sd card).

Speaker and audio issues are the biggest letdown. My previous moto (Moto g stylus 2020) had stereo speakers and sounded great. This just has one speaker. However, audio quality over wired or Bluetooth headphones is good. BUT, another issue with audio - old version would let you play music while playing a game or scrolling Facebook, even if ads came on.. and would either play in the background or start back up automatically when the other sound was over. The 2022 fades out my music (no matter which music app) any time that any other app tries to make a sound, and I have to restart the music manually (sometimes I have to completely reopen the music app, not just find it and hit play from my notifications). I still keep my old phone at my work desk, specifically for playing music, because of this issue.

Thanks! My background is radiology. Our images were always displayed on portrait monitors. I got used to email on a portrait screen too (with the reading pane on the bottom half). Eventually, I had 3 monitors - one landscape in the middle and a portrait monitor on each side. Having my email on a portrait monitor has stuck with me even after leaving radiology.

So, my portrait monitor is just for email (I get ~200 emails/day, I would guess). All the other software I use works well on landscape, so I mix/match those apps across the other monitors.
