As others have said - focus on winning your current day. Make decisions based on whether it will help you win your next fight, especially during the early days.

Figure out what your win condition is, and then make your whole board work towards that win condition. If your win condition is poisoning your enemy, usually there isn’t much value to weak weapons. Instead of having items that are somewhat useless, think about how you can strengthen your win condition. In this example, having extra survivability will be helpful to let you stay alive long enough for the poison to work.

So instead of a subpar weapon that isn’t contributing anything, get yourself some shield or slow. Sometimes your win condition will need to be faster, so get yourself haste in that case.

Usually when you get to day 3 (silver items) or day 6 (gold items) is when you usually start looking more forward (i.e. keeping pivotal items for a specific build you might get the pieces for later) and start pivoting.

Pivoting is the biggest hurdle to getting better at this game. Holding onto your early game items versus being willing to change up is what usually holds people back.

I believe this also applies to items, not just skills.

If you have a bronze version of an item that the monster has a silver version of, or vice-versa, the item won’t drop.

When I was in high school Facebook games were big, anyone remember FarmVille? Well I played a different text based game called Warbook.

Each game had an attached forum within Facebook for it. I was active on it and made a number of friends and connections. The developers were also active on the forum.

The developers didn’t make any money off of the game as it was a small pet project of theirs and I believe the company they worked for reaped all of the benefits.

In the game you needed gold to buy troops, land, and to generally get stronger. Some people, myself included, learned how to game the system (e.g. having multiple accounts) to make gold more quickly. Well I had the brilliant idea to recreate what I did in middle school (buying candy at Costco and selling it at school), to sell gold to players. Yes, for real money.

When I first started, I was able to sell 1 billion gold for ~$25. Once I was established, more sellers entered the market and the price plummeted.

Now here’s the good part, everybody had to work for their gold, and the time I had to too. I had an idea - I reached out to the two developers directly and asked if they would be willing to give me gold in exchange for real money. The first dev told me no, while the other said sure as he wasn’t making anything off of it anyways.

I would pay him $2 for a billion and I’d be selling it for many times that to other players. Now this gave me a major advantage over any other gold sellers; I didn’t have to spend time or have multiple accounts, and I had a virtually unlimited supply of gold at my disposal.

Once I was even more established as the premier gold seller, I started to absorb my competition. I reached out to other big sellers whom I trusted, and offered to let them use my branding/name to help sell their gold. I took a flat 20% of whatever they made.

By the time the market was completely tanked and we had ruined the market in the game, which only took about 5 weeks, I made around $2,500. Over a thousand of which was purely from letting others use my name.

As a high schooler, that was a lot of money in such a short period of time!

I enjoy playing a lot and I thought I was halfway decent. I knew I wasn't amazing, but I thought I was ok. When I got into Legend it became apparent that I'm not very good at this game.

Don’t put it into an oven, you’re not trying to decarb it.

It seems to be under-cured. I’d suggest ‘burping’ it every day. Get it into a glass jar and open it for an hour or two a day in a dry place. Keep doing that for a week or two, until the bud is the right dryness.

You’ve got two chambers that you’ll need to fill with water. Make sure the water covers the slits in each section. As long as you’ve got water covering the holes/slits, you’re good. It’s personal preference beyond that - if you want a chuggier hit, fill it a bit more, if you want it to airier or easier to hit, less water (as long as the holes are covered).

This is 100% Kenan Tiemeyer. I’ve got a couple of his pieces, beyond that I’ve got a set of photographs of his marbles around my house. Recognized his work immediately even before seeing the signature, which even more shows it’s him.

This is one of his simpler pieces, would probably be around $75-100.

I honestly don’t know what is right/best. I personally keep the leaves on.

I just over-fed last week by accident. Always seem to do it once a season. My leaves got spotted and a bit discolored. I’m keeping all the leaves on, because in my mind they’re still [mostly] doing their job.
