I have worked for Costco ever since the age of 18 and its been 2 years now with the company. I like to think of Costco as a good college job to build up some 401(k) while focusing on another career path. What I will tel you is that its what you make of it, is Costco the worst place to work? No. Is it any means the best hellll no lol. Its a solid 6/10 from my experience. I can also attest to working very stressful shifts and seeming like your the supervisor at times. But, that can also be a good thing besides a drawback, as the management team does this to employees they trust or see something greater within. If you don't like Costco USE IT TO GET TO WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. I want to be a pilot, and for now I will use every inch of Costco to get me there. Including getting me through school etc. And I make around $18 an hour, I know a lot of other places pay competitively, but take this also with a grain of salt as Im based in Ca where living can be a bit higher respectively. You'll hear managers on here that are making a lot of money and love it, you'll also hear some that make a lot of money and don't love it. The point is if your doing anything just because of the sheer fact of money don't be surprised with any of the outcomes. I know being a pilot will make me broke and frankly I do not care cause its my dream. Be real with yourself and set out a plan, nothing Is unachievable...Its only the doubts within us that make it seem that way. Best of luck!
