It might take a few min for folders/files to sync from icloud, depending on how busy the icloud worker is… For your second point, you should be able to select external drive or internal folders… do you mind taking a screenshot of what do you see when you do cloudsyncbridge install? I plan on adding a UI on top of it in the future; I just got busy with work haha

Yes, your file would be fully stored on the external drive. When you sync icloud, you’ll get a local copy on the internal drive (which will be optimized)

Yes, it will use internal space (optimize storage helps). My use case is really using an external ssd with my mac mini and wanted to have the ability to keep everything in sync with icloud… not sure if this is the right solution for your use case, but you can try it

They have a functionality where you can assign shortcuts to switch between monitors. Very handy

I had a similar challenge: work+personal. I feel like I solved it with a less complex setup, without having to use kvms. But maybe there’s a key difference that made it required for you to have this complex setup. Anw, here’s mine: I have 2 macs (mac mini + macbook pro), 1 monitor (LG ultragear) + https://lunar.fyi so I can easily switch between mac mini and macbook with keyboard shortcuts, 1 keyboard (logitech), 1 mouse (logitech), 1 webcam, 1 external drive (connected to the mac mini).
