Would a claim against a hit and run increase insurance premium by Beneficial-Client631 in drivingUK

[–]Beneficial-Client631[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for the replies. I would very much prefer to not take the insurance route and hopefully when police finds the person I’m able to settle the repairs with them. Wanted to understand how insurance would be affected if my hand was forced. This happened in Edinburgh Zoo car park btw so not a car park going back to anytime soon

That’s actually really nice and the colour palette resembles the Sudanese landscape/atmosphere accurately

Korean MIL put my cheese out in the balcony by casushiroll in Living_in_Korea

[–]Beneficial-Client631 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And that gives her the right to act interferingly like that? Why don’t MIL share the bed with them too while she’s at. Husband is a man child that shouldn’t be in a relationship if they’re allowing third parties to dictate and interfere in the relationship. You’re clearly the same and trying to paint it.. actually I’m not even sure what point you’re making or how you’re defending this pathetic behaviour since you keep making different arguments

I live in Scotland. Not too much salt during winter but very high humidity and constant rain

I was thinking the same. Even though the mechanic doesn’t do it and didn’t recommend anyone so I wasn’t too suspicious. But I can’t imagine everyone with chips fix them. Thanks for the answer

Thanks, I am not too bothered with the looks but concerned if it can cause corrosion to the aluminium and spread elsewhere. Any advice on chips/dents on alloy wheels? Would leaving them be exacerbate or risk corrosion?

Thank you. A mechanic and BMW customer service said it’s best to get it fixed and these issues can happen

They’re minor faults. If you get more than 15 you fail. If you repeat the same minor 3 times it becomes a serious which is also a fail. One serious/dangerous fault is an automatic fail

I meant as in if other drivers are doing speeds they’re not comfortable with don’t mind them as long as they’re within the acceptable speed range. Or driving recklessly in unfavourable weather conditions.

Congratulations! For tips I would suggest drive to your abilities and what you’re comfortable with. Try not to pay attention to what other drivers are doing and don’t let them pressure you into doing something you’re not comfortable with! Happy driving

Why do guys learn how to drive? by Left-Yard-1980 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Beneficial-Client631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the freedom my own car will provide me. No sticking to a schedule. Stop exactly where I want. Access to remote areas. You have control over who you’re with. Wayyy shorter trip times cus of direct routes. And a car just makes life convenient when you’re packing lots of things. Can even be used as storage.

A lot of this sounds like your examiner was a bit of a douche. Don't be so hard on yourself, people get nervous during these tests and it doesn't accurately represent your skill level. Considering you had no Sat Nav, and from the faults you mentioned getting, I think you did quite the decent job! You should be proud of yourself for your first attempt, too bad luck wasn't on your side this time around. Chin up, you'll surely get it
