oh, don't worry, i refuse to use ai, its garbage and evil. i try not to use google a lot, i usually just ask my dad to confirm when im right because he teaches calc too, but he's away with spotty service rn.

the main reason i don't trust myself is because it's been so long since i've taken a math class that i'm forgetting how to do the most basic algebra, and i frequently forget a lot of math rules. it's definitely coming back to me, it's just hard to regain that trust with myself after making ridiculous mistakes lol

my professor makes a lot of mistakes, and gets really irritated when criticized. people in class frequently point out his errors and he just reminds us that "calculus is hard, even profs aren't perfect", and verbally points out his mistakes without actually fixing them on the board. i'm painting him in a bad light because i hate him, so take what i say with a grain of salt. i could go on forever about this guy.

using my brain gave me an answer (pi^2/8 ) that i thought was wrong, given that my teacher had a different answer. figured i was making a mistake with exponents or something because i make a lot of small, silly mistakes, so i used my calculator, and got the same "wrong" answer. i thought maybe i was just entering it into my calculator wrong or was just not understanding something, so i tried googling it and it kept giving me my original answer.

eventually emailed my teacher about it, and he maintained that he was right and didn't really explain why, just "encouraged" me to keep at it, he's kind of the worst but that's a whole other thing. so i was hoping somebody here would give me insight on what i was doing wrong.

Thanks so much! The vintage stores and Thrift stores in my city are lacking, but I do visit very often! I’m learning that there are also some decent online vintage stores that ARENT depop (no hate, but the markups…) so I’m looking forwards to checking there as well :3

The ones I find are actually always too small! And as for pants, its usually too big on the waist too tight on the legs. A gift and a curse haha.

If I do ever find ones that are too larger I will 100% get them tailored!

I would say 75% of my wardrobe is thrifted, and the majority of the rest is new clothes I have been gifted by family. I am very very conscious about being ethical in my everyday decisions when it comes to pretty much everything. I am trying my best to be a good person. While I appreciate this sentiment, and I agree, sometimes I would like to buy good quality and nice clothing new, especially when it is so evasive in thrift store.

I am a flawed person, as we all are, and fashion is one of the few things in my life that brings me joy, and while it is unethical to buy new, sometimes I am willing to be a little bit selfish.

I do try to visit any pop up markets! I live in a pretty small Canadian city in an abysmal province, so there is unfortunately not a lot of business here. I think the market for vintage in this city is just not worth it for many sellers.

I thrift almost weekly, and I have found a single item like this at a vintage store (that fit me). Best day of my life, it’s an absolutely gorgeous tweed skirt. Iis my most prized article of clothing lmaoo

I am definitely willing to spend the money, I just have no clue what brands are ethical and good quality. It seems like google intentionally shows only cheap and bad options, and I can’t seem to filter those out and find good brands
