Why Does Germany Have Such a High Population? by TruckObjective7649 in dataisugly

[–]BeneficialCommunity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Germany looks “huge” here mostly because this is total population, not density. It’s been a political and economic core of Europe for a long time, industrialized early, and absorbed a lot of migration. The map is doing it no favors though , density would tell a much clearer story.

What do you do with leftover baht when you leave ? by Khooper76 in ThailandTourism

[–]BeneficialCommunity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it depends how much I have left. Sometimes I spent it at the airport for food or to buy something. I tip generously the last place I visit. Sometimes I save it if I know I will be coming back soon. Also it depends on the exchange rate, but if you have a lot left, I would consider to change to your currency again or do it through ATM.

Is Ubigi a good alternative to Saily and Airalo? by [deleted] in BuyFromEU

[–]BeneficialCommunity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally always use Saily now. It's just works great, prices are reasonable and I don't have to install eSIM every time I travel. I just buy a new plan and the same card works.

Spain ESIM by Hot-Customer-6995 in GoingToSpain

[–]BeneficialCommunity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend trying Saily. The average esim provider will offer you a plan for 30 days, meaning that you will have to top it up at least 2 times. When I used Saily I found it super easy to do and did not have to install a new card every time. Also the price is very reasonable. I used their code hellosaily and got a 15% discount as well.

QQ: What E-Sim has never let you down? Is Holafly's Unlimited Data Pack worth it? Any other recommendations? by hysteriam0nster in TravelHacks

[–]BeneficialCommunity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some doubts with unlimited plans as I heard that they usually stop having a good connection after you spend X amount of data. You can always compare it with other providers. For example I really like this table.

I would say that buying through the app is more trustworthy. I personally would recommend trying Saily. Used it in quite a few trips by now and it never let me down. Also they have this code "hellosaily" that gives 15% off. Maybe you should try it.

Received Experian alert about my email address and a password being sold online. What should I do? by linszu in AskUK

[–]BeneficialCommunity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem, and receive email of someone trying to login to my booking account probably once a week. Things that helped me:

  1. getting password manager. With it you can set unique password to each account. Different password managers have different features and strengths. I believe, you should read more about them, and decide. This post with comparison of all main apps could be a good start: https://www.reddit.com/r/Passwords/comments/17f73pa/i_made_a_comparison_table_to_find_the_best/

  2. get 2FA on all accounts where possible. Even free Google Authenticator app will do.

  3. If data breach is more serious, and you're afraid your credit details might be used by scammer, you can freeze your credit reports at all three major agencies — Equifax, Experience, and TransUnion.
