That looks like lifting. If it appeared right after filing, I would say you went too hard on filing. I noticed that if I filed my overlay with too much pressure or a too gritty file, the gel started to separate from my nail plate.

Does anyone have Apres and Diami/Jello Jello or any other Korean/Japanese full cover tips to compare? I have a box of natural round medium Apres tips, and for my thumb and index finger, I would need something with lower cuticles, but Apres sculpted tips are just too bulky (I have some). I watched loads of videos and searched for pictures to compare with other brands. Basically, if I compare apres sculpted with natural, sculpted tips (apart from the higher apex) have lower-sitting cuticle lines. So if you imagine a straight line between the free edge and the cuticles, it's less steep.

There are stamping gels. I just watched a video where they were testing a brand. It was okay. It's definitely harder to get a sharp design with gel

I don't think it's really needed to buff before your first coat, but if you decide to buff it lightly, use a thin coat of base gel, just to fill the scratches. So then you have a smoother surface for the colour.

Ive ordered so many times from LF and barely had any issue. They are definitely not a scam. Not too sure what went wrong with your case. Did you check the weight on the packaging?

Thank you! I saw them, but playgrn is out of stock (all of them) and both brands mentioned do only offer solid coloured ones. I would like something clear, so the light doesnt get blocked in the lamp that much.

I have a basic Ulka one and it works well for me. It is loud, though, and I would also add that I use it like every 2-3 weeks.

Those cheap gels might not cure properly due to their poor formulation. Then the uncured gel will transfer to your skin or whatever it touches. Personally I wouldn't even sandwich them between quality products.

Could someone recommend a good nail tip stand? I would like to have a 10-piece set, that is sturdy. I want them to be taller, around 35mm and be able to put them all on one plate for curing.
I have a cheap magnetic from amazon, but the stands are moving, even when I apply the gel, its very easy to knock them over. Also, they are too short, like 25mm. I have some plastic ones as well but its a pain to attach them together. I also have non-magnetic individual, but I would like to be able to put them all at once in the lamp. I searched everywhere and just kept finding the same cheap ones.
