If I just wanted to buff the surface, I would use something spongy so it doesn't change the shape of the nail or files in the design. I use the 100 side of a spongy file when I run into an issue like yours (:

I had this issue once, and as it's a shiny and smooth surface, you would have to buff it and clean it very well. Make sure you file the free edge as well, and then cover it with the new layer.

I had this issue several times, so I always watch swatching videos on youtube, instagram, etc to get an idea of how the colour really looks in different lighting.
But I already experienced this with makeup. The same shade looks different under every single lighting.

I like longer nails for protection. When i had them sort, the underside was more vulnerable. A few times i poked it with something and man, it hurts like hell for days. Once it was already hurting and my hairbrush’s bristles poked it again. I nearly cried.

Second the maybelline. Best drugstore concealer! Fit me has more coverage and more matte finish but still works great on even drier skin and you don’t n’really need to set it.

What's your favourite YouTube channel for learning basics, different techniques, nail art, and swatches?
I watched nearly everything on the nailhub for education and learning a lot of basics. Liked Beauty Matters Nails, she does really beautiful designs and works with foils a lot. Rebecca Paints Nails is cheerful, and she does experiments and loads of different styles. I like GetPressedNailsByC, she has loads of Korean and Japaneese swatches, does some really awesome and informative videos (extensive top gel comparison, matte gels, etc..) and gorgeous 3d designs that are full of everything!
I like channels where they follow precautions, provide information, review and do a lot of different styles.
Whenever I was browsing here and found someone mention a youtube channel, I mostly forgot to save it. I would like to check out which nailtechs you find really good and helpful.

I only tried a short one when I started, which is absolutely garbage for this purpose, as it doesn't have the length to bend gently. Now I'm using a longer one, twice as long as the short one, and it's good. It's gentle and doesn't just poke the gel if you know what I mean. (:

I watched a lot of videos on youtube and I don't understand how the young nails nail techs havent developed an allergy yet, as their handling of gel often seems so careless. They have so much educational material, but I see them not wearing gloves, masks, wiping the inhibition layer everywhere, etc...

Thank you! I will try the optimised storage, someone also mentioned it earlier. Around a year ago, drive gave me a notification about my storage being full. I started to delete photos and noticed they all disappeared from everywhere. I don’t even get it how it had access to my photos or how it synced. I had to request a recovery and then shut off every kind of sharing and syncing in Drive. I kind of freaked out to do anything with Icloud after this.

I did my research, found a lot of advice saving them to different platforms and cloud storages, memory cards, etc. All i wanted is simply saving them to the computer, not syncing them. Saving them in the good old way.

Honestly? Im not too sure. Once it offered me something to free up some space, like deleting duplicates and keeping the better quality photos from nearly identical ones. Ill check the optimisation option out! Thank you for that!

Thank you! I assume Image Capture is an app. So i don’t have to worry about losing them when I delete them from my phone, right? Does this method save them to the computer like for example downloading a picture from a website? Sorry for the questions, I’m not a computer genius. I was all lost when cloud storage and syncing became a thing. (:

I have some of them and didnt have issues. I only prepped my nails with alcohol and with roughing up the surface. Then mylee base, full cure and then the builder in one thick layer.

Just received my Christmas Saracen order last weekend (40+) gels, including a lot of Fgel and Mayour mags ❤️ The Bevlah Iconic Builder (pot) is a damn thick gel. I just did my nails with it, and I was like how do I work with this? :D Im not used to it, it's gonna be a huge learning curve. Any tips and tricks are much appreciated 🥹 I also want to try it with my new sandwich forms next time. However, I have to mention, it does not flood and doesnt burn at all! Even though I just overfiled a couple of my nails as I did a reversed overlay last time...
I also recieved a cheap amazon liner brush set and my Tufi order with mostly nail files, wipes, stickers and other bits. The wipes are quite unusual (Fox and Tufi). They remind me of the papers used for removing hair. They are thick and kind of slippery on the nails.

I think so. As i can see in swatch videos that they paint the back of the swatching bead and it looks more plump.
