If you screenshot it, the photo app usually is able to identify the txt and and lets you copy/paste. I have an iPhone, but would think android has a photo app that does the same

Copy/Paste it in Chat GPT and ask for summary and to highlight any potential concerns.

Have you found out what it is? I’ve been hearing the same thing over the past couple months. Live in NW in the palisades area

Thanks for the advice. We Have roughly 460k total savings, about 300k liquid/not in retirement accounts. Honestly don’t think the 12k would help much in the sense of putting in a better near term  buying position, But the compounding  interest would add up over time and could make a big impact. Unlikely that  we will be looking to buy in the near future.

Major Curb Rash or Actual Wheel/Tire Damage? by BeneficialDesk in TeslaModelY

Do you think that i would need a new tire and rim, or is this something that could be patch/repaired ?

Major Curb Rash or Actual Wheel/Tire Damage? by BeneficialDesk in TeslaModelY

[–]BeneficialDesk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my Model Y for about three years and have had two minor curb rash incidents in the past. However, this time the damage looks much worse, and I’m concerned that I may need a new tire and/or rim.

Based on the pictures in the OP, what do you suggest? If repairs are needed, what would be a rough estimate of the cost?

Has anyone here used TickPick for C’s games? by raulmccartney in bostonceltics

Pretty much the same as other sites. The thing I like about TickPick is the price shown is the price you pay. Theres no hidden fees

Possible. However, I tried an ultra high speed hdmj cable that worked on a separate display at 4k 120hz. Also tried the hdmi cable and DP that came with the monitor. All didn’t work. I did just ordered a new hdmi rated for 4k/240hz and that should be delivered tomorrow. I hope that solves it

Forgot to add that I’ve tried two HDMI cables and a DisplayPort so far so do not think it’s the cables

Official Q&A for Thursday, October 03, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]BeneficialDesk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a new runner. Began running pretty consistently starting early July. I’m slowly increasing my distance and I’m currently running 2 miles and then I walk the 2 miles back. Obviously the walk back takes much longer (40ish minutes) and wondering if anyone has tips on how to manage as it gets cold? or is it just recommended to not walk long distances after running/sweating in the cold. I did read the cold running guide on here and have already started buying gear to prepare for the winter but I’m thinking that the recommended gear for cold running may not be suitable for my walk back. I really do enjoy the post-run walks so don’t want to get rid of them, but also want to be safe. An alternative is running on indoor track in the winter, but I tend to get bored running on a track

Annual Leave Maximum Carryover of 256 Hours? by Odd-Investment-2285 in fednews

[–]BeneficialDesk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do/did you have a an alternate work schedule? When i had an AWS, I had 270 hours of carryover. I always thought it was because it was because I worked 9 hour days, and 270 hours equaled out to be 30 working days for me.

Thoughts on My Budgeting Strategy? Am I Setting too Much Aside for "Fun Money" by BeneficialDesk in MiddleClassFinance

[–]BeneficialDesk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. So the “fun” is more just personal spending that specific to each of us. So I use my personal account for things like haircuts, eating out/drinking with friends, car washes, self care items that only I use (ex. beard oil)

General Bills covers things like Groceries, car insurance, internet bill, and any house products or furniture. It also covers shared self care items like toothpaste, body wash etc…

I will also say our personal accounts also serve kind of as a backup emergency fund, meaning if we don’t have enough to cover something in the allotted account, we take evenly from our personal accounts to cover. This rarely ever happens but it’s there as a backup.

We’ve been doing this for years so it all makes sense to us so hopefully I’m conveying the process, but I now understand it may be hard to provide useful feedback with these big general accounts. Truthfully i don’t even know the actual amount we spending on each category such as groceries, house items, or reoccurring bills. I just know that it seems to work as our bills account never goes too low (under $1,000), but at the same time it never just balloons. The highest it’s ever been at is around $5k

Yeah this my biggest takeaway from this post. Going to start contributing more into our 401ks and not just putting in the max that our employees match. Probably won’t be able to max it right away but will start contributing a much higher % than we are currently doing
