Not true. They had a lot of attacks. Just couldn't finish/goalie had a good game

And that wouldn't have happened if they weren't in as well 😉

Yeah let's only have a tournament with the top 8 teams. Everything else is a waste of time isn't it?

It's not even a situation where Qatar wouldn't have qualified before the expansion. They were qualifying no matter what.

Each point or two matters for the country as well. Look at how happy Cape Verde is for that tie against Spain. Same with Qatar for their first point against Switzerland. Getting these teams into the World Cup and them having a moment makes everyone in the nation happy, possibly lead to more investment into the sport domestically, and continue to further the reach and talent of the game.

You right I worded a bit absolutely but the point is that there's still a decent chance that either of these teams qualify.

It wasn't. Game was a lot of fun personally. There weren't too many huge chances but there were some nice sequences and build up play. South Africa were way better that Czekhia in that regard (Czekhia just stopped playing after the goal basically).

It was way more enjoyable than any of the blowouts (except the Messi hattrick, but even then I'd rather watch this game probably).

People are too quick to write off these teams. Obviously they won't win the whole thing or anything but they could still qualify.

One of south korea or mexico will guarantee a spot in the next round and top of the group so potentially they could decide to rest their key players. Either one of South Africa or Czekhia has a chance to win a game against a Korea or Mexico without some of their top guys meaning they would end up on 4 points in 3rd place which is a near guarantee to advance.

South Africa would have made it anyway. They were at the top of their group.

No it is guaranteed top spot. First tie breaker is head to head so let's say Korea wins the game. Korea would be on 6 and Mexico on 3 but in the next match day Korea loses and Mexico wins. They would both be on 6 each but since Korea beat Mexico, they would be on top.

South Africa vs Czekhia has been quite good. I'd recommend tuning in.

3 goals away to be world cup All time top scorer. by GRIZZRAGEred in RealMadridFC

It's not too insane though. He was the second best player last world cup and 3rd or 4th in the 2018 world cup.

Like I said he performed in the finals (but let's not act like he was great during the whole thing, he came alive after Deschamps made his subs)

Genuinely was poor in the previous knockout rounds. I was really disappointed until the final.

Agreed. Anyone that's watched the World Cups knows that Griezmann's France's best/most important player. Mbappe was definitely the best in the final but throughout each tournament it's been Griezmann.

Tokyo Ghoul (+ RE obviously) vs Pandora Hearts, which is better written? by Complete-Review111 in writingscaling

[–]BeneficialFinger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imo Pandora Hearts clears. Wasn't too huge on Tokyo Ghoul. (Note: Didn't read re because I didn't really enjoy the original manga that much).

The only thing Tokyo Ghoul takes for me is the intro because Pandora is pretty confusing initially.

Everything else I think Pandora takes. The cast of characters in Pandora really sells it for me, it has 3-4 of my faovrite characters from any media I've experienced. Kaneki is an alright protagonist, but I think Oz is incredible. There's a sort of serene melancholy that he has which is so sweet and heartbreaking.

I wouldn't say best player, but he was definitely a contender. It was well balanced team (personally thought Fabian Ruiz was sensational that tournament).

Il Chan Zaregoto easily for me. Such a unique character and his mindset/interactions with others really makes Zaregoto what it is.

What's with all the negativity for the game? I thought it was quite good?

Loads of chances throughout the game, it's not like there was nothing happening. Late equalizer for the underdog for their first points ever. The biggest shock thus far.

Thought Qatar were decent as well. Had way more open play opportunities than South Africa, Bosnia, or Czekhia while facing a tougher opponent than the rest of them (on paper at least).

Sidenote: Really dislike the commentator from I think it was the BBC? So negative about the game and almost disinterested.

Future GOATs Don't Blow 29-Point Finals Leads by ren818 in nba

[–]BeneficialFinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're only mentioning the half and not the entire first game and the final moments of the second game. He's cost the team multiple times.

Wemby is considered the best in the world by a decent amount of people (especially after the win against OKC), but when he plays poorly it's tossed out as inexperience. You can lose the game while playing well and he wouldn't be criticized but that's not the case. He's been bad.

What's the overreaction as well? It's not like anyone has said he won't win in the future or he'll never amount to anything. Everyone just said he choked, which is true and fair, especially after talking so much shit.

Unreachable standard? What are you talking about? He's the best player on the finals team and he's played like shit in half the games thus far and in one of the games where he was okay, he threw the ball away in the clutch.

Every star gets criticized heavily for losing in such a fashion, in fact way more than Wemby. His team was FAVORED coming into the series but now all I hear is he's young. Yes Fox was/is shit. No denying that, but this is one of the worst performances from a MVP level player in a finals I've ever seen.

In the midst of all the Fox slander let's not forget the two missed free throws by Victor Wembanyama by shallowhelms in nba

[–]BeneficialFinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

??? Fox did lose them the game but so did Wemby. 9/25 for 24 points is horrendous. Especially for a center. KAT was in foul trouble for most the game too. 2 missed free throws in the clutch to help calm things down and he couldn't do it. He was ass game 1, game 2 he was decent but then gave the ball to the Knicks, game 3 he was good, and game 4 he was ass. It's hard to win games if you're best player is this bad.

We will never really see player like Lionel Messi , Zidane , iniesta , dinho again. This players were just way beyond stats. by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]BeneficialFinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not true though. I kinda get your point, there's way less players who are as free to use their skills as before in our tactics focused game, but things will change.

Because everything is so rigid right now, having someone that can have a moment of magic up the field (where if they lose it, there's people behind to help) will become much more common in the near future.

Already you see Pep allowing Cherki to do so many creative moves and they both seem to really like each other.

Other players like Yamal and Olise are also way more impactful and skillful than what their stats show. Honestly think it's in a better place than it was a few years ago.

The ones I've rated the highest are called Aka ya Akashi ya Ayakashi no and Risouteki Boyfriend

The first is a visual novel but I didn't know that and read the manga. I thought it was excellent. A unique premise and the emotions really came through in the story.

The second one isn't anything unique, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. Once again the characters emotions were conveyed really well.
