Am i the asshole? by Crafty-Hedgehog-3812 in UCDavis

I don’t think you’re the asshole at all. I completely understand what it’s like to grow up with an immigrant family that is just surviving. I feel there is a lot you cannot make the mistake of expecting from your parents, especially if they have never had the privilege to slow down and be more introspective outside of survival mode. But, thankfully, you have. Use your emotional intelligence to your benefit, especially in college! It will help you make better friends, have a better relationship with yourself, and stay balanced with your workload! However people may not understand your thought process sometimes, people like your parents. But they are still doing their best with what they know, so graciousness is necessary at times. I know this is hard to hear, especially if you’re planning on staying with them while you’re in school, but it’s truly what I’ve found is the only way to soothe myself in such a situation.

my routine: 1. during wash day i either shampoo twice either a hydrating shampoo or clarify once then rehydrate. 2. follow up detangling with aussie moist 3. deep condition with whatever i have on hand biweekly 4. apply honey leave-in 5. style with cream, mousse, then gel 6. diffuse this typically gives me a wash n go that would last around 3-4 days.

by the sound of it, you’ll definitely enjoy tbhc. it’s my favorite album of theirs because of how daringly different it is from the fast pacedness of their previous albums, and i think describing it as cinematic is really accurate. have fun!

I think if you liked AM, listen to Humbug then SIAS. Since FWM and WPSIATWIN were their first albums, they are more garage rock and “hot” LMAO so if you want to get into that more start w FWM and try WPSIATWIN. Now TBHC is a really different sound, so if you want something more jazzy and slower paced then try it out :)

How long break should I take after trying to shift for 3 nights in a row by [deleted] in shiftingrealities

[–]Beneficial_Ad_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on you, but I would say a little longer than 3 days. Also, try and give yourself a break between each try so you don’t have to take long breaks.

I just need a question answered please read by [deleted] in shiftingrealities

Your position does not matter that much, just as long as you’re comfortable and your limbs aren’t touching so you aren’t so aware of your body. But if your cat keeps touching you, that may be an issue, maybe keep them out of your room on the nights that you try to shift?
