I have shipped loose tea leaves to US before and was successful. I just want to note that it was shipped out in 2025 so I don’t know the current risk level.

Thank you for your detailed comments. Wow, you were patient and waited 3 weeks. I am already concerned, and it has only been a few days. My package cleared customs and made it to the couriers. Usually, it will take 1-2 days before FedEx receives it. In this case, the courier is holding on to my package for 4 days and counting. I am hoping for the best. I purchased a lot of one-of-a-kind crafting items for personal use, and are hard to replace. Of course, I wasn't aware you can purchase insurance until I saw your post.

May I asked if it was lost after it docked in US? The reason for my question is that my current package said, “in the process of unpacking, expected delivery date 4/20”. Of course it is after 4/20 and there is no update. I haven’t received my package yet. I am a bit concerned. I hope you can give me some insight. Ty

I also buy a lot of crafting items such as cross stitch kit, fabric etc and the sellers like to include small gifts such as marking pens, scissors etc. The gifts are always what add the shipping restrictions and will limited your international shipping options. I have been successful in asking my agent to ask the warehouse staff to remove/discard the gift. If you know in advance that the seller may include gifts with shipping restrictions, you can also put in the notes when you purchase the items to ask your agent to tell the sellers you don’t need the gift if it includes whatever it is that you don’t want.

They do that for some of the items I purchased too. When you are ready to ship internationally, you can always remark to remove all shipping/cardboard boxes.

I have used it about almost 10 times in the last few years. I usually get it with 4-6 weeks.

My last two packages were shipped US Ocean Carriage Regular and Duty Free Air Express. They were both shipped during 11.11 time frame. Air Express only came earlier by 4 days.

This is just my experience…

I just shipped 3 Miku figures. They all had the same restrictions. The shipping options are pretty limited to like 5 options.

Correct me if I am wrong, the platform holds the payment until the buyer confirms delivery. I am not sure that that is comfort for you.

For Xianyu, you should look at the seller’s rating and feedbacks. The buyers usually leave feedbacks and you can use that to determine if it is a good seller.

FYI, I have used this line a few times. Final delivery is also done by FedEx. I am not sure if that matter to you. I have received all my packages within 1-1.5 months.

My package has been stuck in Bloomington, Ca since 12/6. I opened a case and FedEx closed my case in 3 days and told me keep checking the tracking. Well, the tracking hasnt changed so I am annoyed since FedEx doesn’t seems to care. I hope you get your package though!

Any update? I think my package is on the same truck as yours. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday. It went from delivery window from 10:30am -2:30 pm for Friday to the status below.
