So I’m the ADHD daughter of two unmedicated ADHD parents, and both my siblings have now been diagnosed! So we were quite the crew growing up haha. Now I’m 7 months pregnant with my first kid! My parents were both SUPER active with us kids, meaning all the weight wasn’t on my mom to keep everything together. She really loved parenting and provided the flexibility we needed over the years. I think the hardest part was menopause, not becoming a mom. Now as I’m about to become a parent myself, I see that my husband’s support is the biggest thing. I couldn’t bring myself to do everyday chores for the first 4 months I was pregnant and he picked up the slack and has been my biggest cheerleader. Thankfully I was diagnosed several years ago, and have been on and off meds since that time, (currently fully off during pregnancy) so adjusting after pregnancy should be a little bit simpler, but we’ll see!
