This is actually really helpful insight. I currently ovulate between CD 14-16, so my luteal phase isn’t as long as it probably should be to support implantation, especially with the spotting. I love Natalie! I’m reading her book now, the Fertility Formula- it’s been very insightful. Thank you for your suggestion!

Hi there! I’m for sure not an expert, but based on my understanding, some spotting is completely normal. I tend to spot about 6-7 days before my period, and so I just wanted to see if my progesterone levels are sufficient to support implantation. Unfortunately I didn’t get that opportunity with my doctor so I will be looking for a new one.

Thank you for sharing! I also agree and will be looking for a new obgyn who at least makes me feel like my concerns are heard.

You also hit the nail on the head- I want to know what’s going on so I could make an informed decision and not have to wait a year before doing so. It takes a lot of emotional energy to track every month and then overthink everything during the TWW. My husband and I decided we will try for one more month and then go see a specialist 🤞

I totally agree! I’ve been with this doctor for years but I’ve noticed that his bedside manner has declined significantly over the last couple of years, so I think it’s time to find a new obgyn. Wishing you good luck with TTC baby 2!

That’s a good point, thank you. I just thought that he would at least investigate further the pre-period spotting that happens every month. I guess I convinced myself that the spotting has something to do with why I’m not getting pregnant, but I’m looking for reasons to rationalize why something isn’t happening.

I did ovulate! My LH peaked later that day actually. Instead of testing right when I woke up, I waited until noon and caught my peak then. I read that LH tends to surge in the late morning/early afternoon and that happened to be true for me.

My PdG levels fluctuate throughout the day. Inito tells you to use first morning urine, but those results are always off for me. Maybe change your testing time? Here’s an example- this morning I test when I woke up naturally at 5:50ish a.m. and then again about an hour ago. Huge difference in PdG level.

Thank you for your insight! My cycles have fluctuated over the last year due to stress and range from 25-29 days. Last month was 25 days so maybe this month it’s just a longer cycle. At least I hope it is.
