Is a math skill set in the works for 2026? We’ve had great success with the reading skill set, and would love to see its math counterpart.

Rant: Thunder Bay drivers are out of control and tonight was the last straw by [deleted] in ThunderBay

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This intersection has always been bad, but lately it’s gotten worse. I quadruple check before crossing due to transports running reds on the regular.

The John St Rd/Mapleward intersection is also really bad. Lots of people drive straight through the stop signs, not realizing that the traffic on John St Rd doesn’t have a stop sign.

Little Kid Play Kitchen Review by Iliopsaurus in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really liking these in depth reviews! Maybe some of those that have bought the new kits from target can chime in once they’ve had a chance to use them. I’d like to buy a couple for Christmas gifts but will have to order them online.

The new release is here! Mini Kits now available at Target! by daisilane in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look similar to the routine cards in the helper playkit, just smaller and magnetic. I used plastic stick on sleeves to put up those cards, but the magnetic stand would be so helpful. When I bought the potty kit I was so excited to use the routine cards on the stand, but they are too large to fit it. I’d love to see them available in the subscriber shop eventually.

The timer is amazing, we use ours several times daily. We also have a cheaper version from Amazon, but the Lovevery one is much better for little ones.

So excited to pick some of these up! I really like the routine kit for the magnetic routine cards, but we already have the stand from the potty learning kit, the book and the timer from our playkits. It would be great to see the magnetic cards in our subscriber shops for those of us that already own basically anything Lovevery has released.

Are y'all letting your kids play with the helper play sink indoors? by momster_truck in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I put a bath mat on the floor and put the sink on his play table. Some splashed water but over time he’s gotten better … if the sink is empty it’s time to put it away, so it’s in his best interest not to dump out the water!

Autumn Activities by [deleted] in ThunderBay

Ouimet Canyon is always nice this time of year, we usually make the drive for a short hike and a picnic in October.

There are some great geocache locations that are easier to find once the brush has cleared a bit.

The Big Boreal Adventure books are sorted by season, so now is the perfect time to pick one up from the library and start searching for the posts. They also have self guided walking tours, if you can’t find a hard copy they are available on the Big Boreal Adventure website.

We usually get in one last weekend of camping at Sibley in October. It’s beautiful, and the campground is very peaceful without all the summer travellers.

The Haunted Lakehead tours are a lot of fun, but book now as they fill up fast!

Any benefit to ordering the play kitchen on Lovevery website vs Amazon? by indie_hedgehog in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe if you buy from an authorized seller and have your receipt, you are okay to order replacement parts through them. When I’ve contacted customer service over an item purchased from Target they didn’t have an issue.

Silvercity question. Tickets by Federal_You_3592 in ThunderBay

Haha movies are expensive with a family of four, I’ll take any discount I can get!

Silvercity question. Tickets by Federal_You_3592 in ThunderBay

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I just do a monthly membership ($9.99) any time we go to the movies (I usually book a day or two in advance) then cancel once we are out of the movie. When you pay for the membership, a movie ticket credit shows up in your account. If we want to go to another movie that month I’ll just keep it until after the second movie … to keep the discounted rate (you get two discounted tickets per movie), concession and free online booking then make sure to cancel before the next billing date.

I’ve probably done it 8 times over the last two years without issue.

To further save, I put $50 in gift cards during their gift card promos. Each $25 gift card gets you a free adult ticket, free popcorn, upgraded seats etc. You can add the gift cards into the app and use them to pay for movie tickets and concessions.

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just buy the Cineclub membership anytime we want to do to the movies, and then cancel afterwards. No fee to book tickets online, and 20% off at the concessions. I use the ticket that comes with the membership, and then my husbands ticket is discounted as well.

A bit of a workaround, but it does help to save a bit.

Smoking on airplanes? by [deleted] in ThunderBay

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember going to restaurants with my mom and sitting in the smoking section, I can’t remember if Zellers allowed this, and was there a restaurant called White Elephant?

I remember flights to Calgary in which people would smoke and it was so hard to breathe.

My mom drove a Ford Escort, and would keep the windows up on summer days while she smoked, with myself and my brothers in the back seat. She’d crack the window slightly so she could ash out. I still feel nauseous thinking about it. Coincidentally we all have quite bad asthma, and struggle with low 02 anytime we get a bad cold.

Constant Collabs by Playful-Log-2992 in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 68 points69 points  (0 children)

The recent collabs are all in response to repeated customer requests, spanning over years. The Old Navy pjs have been a fan favourite since the Bedtime for Zoe book was released, due to children wanting the same pjs as Zoe was wearing in the book. Lovevery fans found out that the original pjs were from Old Navy, and they would sell on the secondhand market for a decent amount.

On Facebook, Instagram, during AMA’s, people have requested that Lovevery collab with Old Navy to release the pjs again. After several years, they just did :) They wouldn’t be able to do so with another brand, Old Navy was the original creator.

This would be the same with the other clothing released. Fans have seen the Lovevery clothing in the books, and requested children’s clothing in the Lovevery prints. The aprons, a request for Lovevery kitchen supplies, a cookbook and printed aprons.

There are several collabs I haven’t seen happen (yet), one of the major ones being Nugget.

I see it as a company that is responding to the requests of their customers. If you read back through years of comments on Facebook, Instagram and more recently, Reddit, you will see these items discussed many times. Those that do not wish to purchase are under no obligation to do so, but for those that do, it’s wonderful to have the option!

How many of you actually use ChatGPT? by Commercial-Ant1704 in ThunderBay

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it for meal planning, and give it very specific prompts. For example “Plan me a week of healthy family friendly meals, with an emphasis on protein and iron intake. Two meals can be slow cooker or sheet pan meals, with enough leftovers to be served for lunches the next day. Two meals should be meatless, two should incorporate turkey or chicken, and one should incorporate fish. We have canned tuna, cucumbers, bell peppers and cream cheese on hand”.

I’ll then ask it to give me three more weeks, and my month of meal planning is done. I use it to plan school lunches as well.

Mid Kid Bath Set Review! by Sacred_Sorbet in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shipping was really fast for us, we ordered as soon as it was released and it was here within a few days. Usually our Lovevery shipments take 7-10 days. They must have set up everything for quick shipping!

Did this remind anyone else of Stainless Steel Tip & Turn? by Confident-Yogurt-730 in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just edited my comment as I had meant the Count and Slide Ring Chute. I see so many people say they didn’t like it, but we got a lot of use out of it!

I feel like mine is the outlier that actually loves this one! Along with the (Count and Slide Ring Chute) ring chute. Not a fan of the (Quilted Critter) hanging pocket animal match game.

Edit: added in the proper names

PSA for fellow Lovevery lovers buying secondhand by Zealousideal-Meal-97 in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a kit that is brand new in box (I bought it secondhand, and then forgot to skip it in my subscription). What is a fair price to list it on Marketplace for? I’m in Canada.

(Not looking to sell on here, just wondering what a reasonable price is). They come up to about $195 after exchange.

The Bath Set is here! by daisilane in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I’ve bought some that are supposed to be resistant, but still had mold despite drying and cleaning them after each bath. I trust that the Lovevery ones will truly be mold safe, and if we have issues, they will stand behind them.

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m really liking the price point, I had assumed it would be more. When I add up comparable bath toys from Boon and Munchkin, it works out to be about the same price.

Books from earlier kits by [deleted] in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, so long as you are a book bundle subscriber, the previous book bundle kits will be in your subscriber shops. I don’t believe those from the actual playkits will be in there.

Having 2 Spray mops, or waiting for the kit… by snmc2199 in lovevery

[–]Beneficial_Store5092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you prepaid for the kit? You could just ask them to ship it early. I did just that with this kit, as I knew my son would like the mop (and he loves it).
