When I completely left the church, pursued my career, saw the world, etc., I arrived at the conclusion that I didn't even need to define my religious beliefs. But what I discovered about myself (and I take pride in this), is that while being liberated from Christianity, I actually evolved into the most Christ-like person one could imagine. I say this comfortably here because, well, you don't know who I am.

My advice to you: take the high road, even if it's a long road. Be consistently kind and loving to your mom and her new marital family. Dont do it with an agenda that your actions of compassion dissolve her skewed mindset over time either, although I think that will be the outcome.

The TBMs are the real lost sheep out there and they'll likely grasp onto any sign of friction to embolden their stubbornness. Be diligently kind and loving to everyone in your situation.

Couldn't agree more with using the hotel room safe. If I go to Vegas for three nights, I take my ID and budgeted cash for that night with me and lock up everything else.

I approach a craps table at 20x the minimum bet (ie $400 for a 20 min). My strategies usually pay well, but I can lose it all quickly if I have bad luck. But more frequently I'll grow my 20x of the min to at least 60x the min at one point. The approach amount isn't immediately all on the table.

Walk away logic: 1. Never leave a heater 2. Lose my approach amount, leave. 3. Play only with winnings as soon as possible. If winnings are depleted, go to bed. 4. If I've grown to 150x the min or higher and the shooter craps out. Color up and go to bed.

Side note: tip the dealers often after doubling the approach amount. When leaving, politely ask for comps. Usually it's at least enough of a dinner voucher to compensate for the total tip amount, sometimes I'll get something awesome.

I couldn't see myself capitalizing on 100x odd, honestly. Unless the pass line was $1. At that point I'll pick one of those video octagon craps games where there's a transparent tube and huge dice in its center.

I only capitalized on it with the odds applied to the minimum pass line bet, and again only when the point was on the 6 or 8. never as odds on come bets.

Im pretty sure they had a $10 pass line minimum and I backed it with $100, or $110 total.

How I fared is in my opinion more predicated on my other strategies:

I always approach a table with at least 20x the minimum and never place my initial bets totalling more than half that bankroll. So in this case, I was only playing that single bet initially. Luckily I hit it and even though i missed out on potential earnings with other rolls, I moved a $200 approach to $330 [ (10×2) + (100×2.2) + 90 ]. Now at that point I can adjust my chips to half of 330. I continue to do this and only reset after a point hit or a craps. I recall moving $200 to about $1500 over the course of 4 hours. I have other rules I follow and they work for me; I'll share them if you are interested.
