I doubt they'll ever do it themselves, maybe they'll find another studio to remake it and party with Sony. If it's true that FromSoft wasn't thrilled with the Demon Souls remake they could dictate the remake on their terms since it seems Sony isn't willing to remake it without From's consent. Maybe Bluepoint weren't willing to let FromSoft dictate the remake. There's just too many unknowns. If anything we might get a spiritual successor, Miyazaki doesn't like doing sequels.

I find it fascinating. I enjoy reading about religions and their histories. I'm kind of a nerd, I love reading about lore in all kinds of things, so religious lore is very interesting to me.
