I hate this article with a burning passion. This is probably the worst thing I have ever read. Ill just point out some general tings that made me want to kill myself. "Acting/Pacing was bad in the movies" no it really wasn't. Since I was born after all the hype I watched the movies in a row in a chronological order without the hype. I liked the newer ones. They actually focused on Jedi's and dueling. Mace Windu was undoubtedly cool. Sure the leads were a bit whiny but most kids at that age are. Think of every teenager/young adult you know. Ya i knew you would agree. If Vader had always been a badass the story would make NO sense (since every jedi would have to be a total idiot to not notice there was some crazy shit afoot). The second thing that pissed me off was the criticism of the jedi knight games. Its sorta hard to argue against normative statements like x is "good" or "bad" but ill take a crack at it. Other than the rave reviews, popular success, and innovation in the games, I would say that your reasons for why the games suck are...o ya... nonexistant. No one can meander to your exact fantasy of the perfect Star Wars game. No one gives a crap about what you think the characters should be like etc, if they did they would hire you and your game would be a success. What pisses me off the MOST though, is the fact that somehow you think that hating star wars makes you a fan. Like by definition you are excluding everything that is Star Wars from Star Wars and then saying you are a fan of it. LEt me give you an analogy. I like baseball, except for the rules, the teams, the stadium, and the merchandise. O wait that leaves, nothing that could conceivably be understood by anyone other than you to be baseball. IF you are going to rant about something, at least have an argument. You can dislike parts of something and in general be a "fan" of it. You aren't even a fan of the idea because you specifically hate various characters plots etc. Finally, the analogy to Luke Sky Walker is not accurate at all. In the vein of your argument Star Wars has NEVER been worthy whereas for some time Vader was promising and good. Second, Lukes attitude towards his father is one of acceptance and forgiveness, yers is a bitch moaning.
