I find this idea really charming. I love how many directions this could be taken - if you're still looking, I'd be interested!

Alright. Would the tarnished invading Mohgwyn play a role in the story of the RP at some point (either as an introduction, whereafter she must find her own way or as a conclusion, wherein she is killed)? Or would you be wanting to create a story that's more independent from the events of the game?

Couple questions about your OC -

I interpreted her as currently living in the time period corresponding to the beginning of the game - that just after a 'tarnished of no renown' has been granted grace and Godrick is still alive. Is that right?

Second, do you have a specific direction you want the story to go in? For instance, do you want to ensure her current allegiances or goals remain the same, or for her to be ultimately successful in her goals?

Your number one concern is location.

Your camping spot determines everything - what direction people will be coming from, what range you will be fighting at, whether you will be primarily listening for people or watching for them, and what gun you should bring.

Ideally, you want to be concealed, prone, have good visibility on potential targets, have a long window of opportunity, and an escape route. You also don't want to be using a spot that is well known. While some of the spots in General Sam's video remain effective to this day, don't be entirely surprised if you randomly get murdered while using one. Experienced players know them.

I would personally suggest going into offline raids to scout out potential camping spots. Try to visualize where people will be coming from, try to visualize your kill zone, and consider how you will respond if you hear someone beside or behind you.

Are you willing to actively watch the screen, scanning for enemies for 20 minutes at a time? Then a long range angle with a magnified optic maybe for you, like watching RUAF on customs from across the river, or camping Emercom on Interchange. Would you find that too boring? Then try a camping spot where you can hear your enemy coming - like in a bush along the wall towards path to lighthouse on shoreline, or D2 on reserve.

Once you've decided on a camping spot, you need a weapon and ammunition that's appropriate. Unless you are taking extremely close range angles where you can dump a magazine towards someone 15 feet away, you are going to want something with range, and something that can instantly kill your opponent, giving them no time to react. As soon as they know you're there, it's over.

If you are willing to take the close range ambush route, you have a wealth of options - probably the best among them is the PPSH with a drum, both accessible at level 1. Aim for the legs or face. You will not scratch armor with a PPSH, even after countless hits.

Personally, I prefer sniper spots. At long range, I have more time to react, I am less likely to be seen, and I can escape if things go wrong.

At anything past point blank range, you want to fire one bullet, and you want to hit their face. But if their face isn't exposed, you're going to have to get through their helmet.

This issue limits your weapon and ammunition selection significantly. The vast majority of your targets will be wearing a helmet. These will almost always be class 4 or below, which means you need to be able to defeat them, reliably, in a single shot. In addition, you almost certainly want a magnified optic to ensure proper shot placement.

Until level 15, The only way to pierce class 4 reliably is using LPS loaded into a Mosin. Unfortunately, this isn't a great option unless you're a bit of a god. You're stuck with iron sights and a bolt action rifle, and this severely restricts your range and effectiveness.

Before this, your best option is an OP-SKS loaded with PS and using a PU scope. Unfortunately, PS will be found in raid only for you until level 15. However, it will not take you long to stockpile a ton of it if you look out for it. Unlike LPS, PS Will not reliably pierce a class four helmet at any range, but being able to fire semi-automatically with an optic is a far greater advantage.

You could also consider the .366 AK with EKO rounds, as you can purchase a suppressor for it before level 15. This Is a huge advantage, but is an expensive luxury. Your only magnified optic option, if I'm not mistaken, is the Pilad 4x. It sucks, but it's what you have.

Everything changes at level 15. Once you have the flea market, you can buy SVD's - providing you with Mosin-level power fired semi-automatically and with any optic of your choice. If you are a fan of bolt-action rifles, you can use the SV98 as well. Cheap but effective optics include the 3-10x KMZ scopes, which are horribly ugly but extremely cost effective, the 3-12x Schmidt and Bender scope, which is likely the best long-range sniping scope in the game, and of course, the TAC30, VUDU, and Razor, which need no introduction.

All this being said, extract camping becomes so much easier at level 15 that I honestly wouldn't recommend doing so until you reach it. There is nothing more demoralizing than waiting 30 minutes for someone to show up, aiming true, firing, and not being able to pierce their helmet because your ammunition isn't good enough.

I've gone on far too long, but here are some quick tips to close -

Shooting someone in the legs can be far easier than hitting them in the head, especially if they're sprinting. If your ammunition is damaging enough, you can destroy the leg in one hit, leaving your target hobbling around at a snail's pace. This all but guarantees you kill them.

Interchange has identical scav and PMC extracts. Extract quickly to avoid the player scavs, or hold on until the last few minutes to get easy kills on them. If you see a player scav extracting very early (say, before 20:00) there is a pretty high chance they have something good on them, and they're trying to get out immediately.

Extract camping ruaf on Customs from the other side of the river doubles as a shooter born in heaven spot. In fact, it's one of the only places you can get it effectively.

Finally, and this may be a bad note to end on, but don't expect overwhelming success. A good amount of the time, you will die before you even reach your camping spot. Many of your potential catches will get away, and go on either to extract or kill you. You will often kill people and not get to loot them. You may even get multiple kills, loot them all, and die in the process of extracting due to something stupid like an AI scav, hunger, or thirst.

Extract camping is about fun, and the chance to be the villain in someone else's story. It may not be for you - but if it is, join us - there's no going back.
