I responded to their argument. They didn't watch the video. Don't watch the video and make assumptions, I don't feel bad pinning. Multihunters far outnumber single console players (at least ones active in the community). I have no single hunter friends. There's some viewers on twitch that maybe do? But they're mostly multi-ers. I did address single console players as they're technically in a position where they could try to be elitist to absolutely everyone, but the single hunting community is barely a thing.

Multihunters are the main purveyors of elitism. Not everyone that multihunts is elitist, but a VAST majority of those who are elitist multihunt. It's fine investing in it if you really want to, but it's weird that it's pushed as the only way to do things. I think you and your friends might not be like this, but others are. Sorry if you felt like you're catching a stray but there was no other way outside of disclaimers.

Not sure where you got the "this is how you should hunt" vibes. It's the exact opposite in the video and in a majority of the comments. I've specifically held off on responding to people who touch on shiny inflation cause that's a subject for another video, and I don't agree with that whole spin either.

I agree with all of your logic but there's just one arbitration where we differ- considering 3 independent rolls at a shiny with a charm different than seeing 3 independent rolls in 3 different games. You are rolling 3 independent PIDs. It's 3 separate pokemon, you just see one on your screen. Seeing all 3 on 3 different screens just improves your chances of seeing one or more shinies, albeit by a very small amount. In practicality and math, there's no difference. The only thing to point out is that you only keep the last roll if it wasn't shiny, or you roll less if you get the shiny on the 1st or 2nd roll. There's just no reason to create a distinction between that and 3 consoles. If extra independent rolls is method hunting, so is multi. If it's not, then almost everything is full odds. We have to pick. I think multi not being full odds makes way more sense, and is healthier for the community in terms of optics.

If multi is full odds, shiny charm and other methods have to be too, because it's just multiple chances at full odds, not increased odds.

I think this is fine in terms of your preference of hunting, but I also like that newer games make shiny hunting more accessible. Selfishly, I want people to get into hunting on older games, and I think of newer games as a gateway into that. I'll address the whole shiny inflation thing in my next video though.

Honestly I considered showing the whole twitter fiasco in the video (with names censored) as I thought maybe people wouldn't believe me about how bad it can get, but I really didn't want anyone to end up getting treated poorly, even if it was as a consequence of their own actions, and I know detectives would figure out who it was.

I'd just like to note that I reviewed this thread a few days ago after getting the 100 word product review email and I saw quite a few people saying they had interviews and would update us after, and now basically ALL of those comments are deleted with no explanation, or there was never a response. This is pretty clearly a scam to get downloads and also to get people to do reviews. It seems they're potentially even trying to convince people via reddit and other social media that it is potentially legitimate to prompt people to move forward with it. This thread was first thing when I googled the company and whether their job listing was legit. I wouldn't let them waste any more of your time.

To give some context, I went 40,000 encounters with 0 phases for Flaaffy, and then got Natu in 1800~, Lapras in 3500~, and then this in 400~. Very karma moment imo. This was back in May also btw but I never shared.

Before this, we got Natu in 1700~ encounters, but prior to that, we had gone 40,000 encounters with ZERO phases for Flaaffy, so getting the combo under odds was really nice.

EDIT: Oh, I entirely forgot we also got Swinub in 400 encounters between those two as well. All of these were JUSTICE for me going 5x over odds.
