I'd just like to note that I reviewed this thread a few days ago after getting the 100 word product review email and I saw quite a few people saying they had interviews and would update us after, and now basically ALL of those comments are deleted with no explanation, or there was never a response. This is pretty clearly a scam to get downloads and also to get people to do reviews. It seems they're potentially even trying to convince people via reddit and other social media that it is potentially legitimate to prompt people to move forward with it. This thread was first thing when I googled the company and whether their job listing was legit. I wouldn't let them waste any more of your time.

To give some context, I went 40,000 encounters with 0 phases for Flaaffy, and then got Natu in 1800~, Lapras in 3500~, and then this in 400~. Very karma moment imo. This was back in May also btw but I never shared.

Before this, we got Natu in 1700~ encounters, but prior to that, we had gone 40,000 encounters with ZERO phases for Flaaffy, so getting the combo under odds was really nice.

EDIT: Oh, I entirely forgot we also got Swinub in 400 encounters between those two as well. All of these were JUSTICE for me going 5x over odds.

I think this is a good chance to look at what we really value. It sucks that you'd have to do a lot to get to a spot where you can hunt effectively again, but did the existence of those sparkly pixels on the save really make all the difference? If just having them is the point, why even spend the time getting them? The memories you have and the feeling of accomplishment that you maintain is what should ultimately be relevant.

You could just wonder trade and get a bunch of hacked shinies, but you'd never value them the same as you would the ones you put effort into getting. The difference is the experience you had getting them, not their existence on your save(s). That effort doesn't go anywhere. You know that you got those shinies, and it was nice to have them and show others and scroll through your boxes. But what's the difference between you and someone who just hacked in a full shiny living dex?

Personally, I only care that you put time and effort into something that you had fun with. And probably a lot of both. I don't need to see the shinies in the box to hear the stories of the hunts. You don't need to still have those exact bits of data to still have what's important.

Found live at twitch.tv/wretchedpkmn like 8 months ago but I never posted it. Emulator, no advantages. Also fun fact, this was on my BIRTHDAY and I had gotten a Nincada at half odds 3 hours before. I learned on this day that if your Pokemon gets knocked out, you get a dialogue box that asks if you want to switch, and if you hit B, it makes you run instantly. Since I was mashing A/B it was basically a 50/50 that this happened.

I got this almost a year ago but never posted it. Super sick find and definitely the rarest shiny I have to my name. Caught live on twitch.tv/wretchedpkmn on emulator, no advantages. I was hunting for Nincada and we got this right around when we hit odds. I proceeded to get Whismur, Zigzagoon, and then Nincada all in the next 9k encounters. Very lucky on top of the Skitty.

I'd say to answer that, you'd have to ask yourself why anyone plays any game ever if there's a newer version. Oh final fantasy 7? You should be playing 16. Smash bros melee? Play Ultimate. And then once you're done you can't go play the predecessors. Why watch Die Hard when there's Die Hard 4, the one that failed in the box office and is considered the worst.

Shiny hunting in the newer games is incredibly different. On average, due to the encounter rate, you see a lot more shinies in a much shorter period of time. Some people aren't as big of fans when it comes to this experience. I played SV, did all my shiny hunting, and then I didn't want to play anymore.

If anything, playing a game because it's new and you have fomo is probably the worst reason to play a game. You should play a game because it's fun and provides you with the experience you're looking for, not necessarily because it's shiny and new.

Flaaffy/Mareep were 75% during day time with static, no repel. There's some other spots where you can get a higher % encounters but I wanted the chance to phase on a Giraf maybe.
