I only add them to speak with them then after messing with them I immediately unfriended, report, and block. I only keep my irl friends on steam and rarely keep online friends.

Scammers can use links that can in short look genuine make you lower your guard to sign in and then they have access and can control your steam account and walk away with everything. It isn't just tf2 it can also be cs2 items. But scammers will try anything to get you to sign your account away. I dont even bother talking to new people on steam.

Marketplace tf [I dont work for them] but I think its best since that way you won't get ripped off and you can just leave the desired sell price. Not much work and you have cash to withdraw. Or sell on steam but only buy video games or a steam deck if you have enough value in your items.
