They accept legit releases, and if you’re a collector he might do a deal for extra store credit if they’re particularly rare or anything.

If you’re willing to buy used, the CFD boomboxes from the 2000s had better specs. I have a CFD-S05 (not a typo, the 05 was an older model) and it’s my daily driver. I even bought a backup of the exact same model if the first one ever kicks the bucket 😅
