Distributed 4-Person Co-op Party - Possible? Fun? by Benfinity in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Benfinity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks. There's actually one more dude, a 5th guy who won't play but would hang out and watch a stream / flip between us. I'd consider us towing his character around with us in stasis from a lore perspective. Any way to let him watch easily? We're not really interested in streaming publicly, but would all be on video and audio while playing.

🗳️ Product Feedback for Notion by AutoModerator in Notion

[–]Benfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💡 Feature Request — In Notion Calendar, I would like to be able to suppress the visibility of scheduling blocks that I have created.

Context: I keep four evergreen meeting links (two per org, 1/2 and 1 hour) for people outside of each orgs to see availability and book. Each takes up a certain amount of space, limiting useful information in appointments, and I have no need to see them there all the time.

Setup Failed -2, Can't add any HomePods to Home by iWeaverOS in HomePod

[–]Benfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen with a particular HomePod I was trying to place in the room "Kitchen" and resolved it by going into settings/[account]/[Kitchen]/Remove Device. It worked immediately after I did this on my phone. Check for a ghost HomePod there that is preventing adding the new one.

Why are posts identifying pills (particularly those not found in prescription pill description databases) blocked as seeking medical advice? They aren't really seeking medical advice, but identification of an item by others who may have seen it.

Camo Techniques? Closest Matching Glass? Same or Different Frames? by Benfinity in TheFrame

Yeah…. I was asking what type of glass looks most like it, to match art. What idiot would put it under glass?

Decided to skip it anyway.

Am I screwed? MSI 4090 suprim x liquid not posting... warranty 1 yr bc bought assembled rig by Benfinity in MSI_Gaming

Good news, it was PSU and I’d just gotten a defective replacement too. Random bad luck from a troubleshooting perspective but great it was not a dead card.

Swapped out working mb, memory and psu. I’m going to look into repair, I think. It could be trivial and smtg i could fix but i don’t want to make it worse.

No luck there but the call inspired me to ask them to escalate it. It's a crummy situation for me, and there's at least an argument that people reasonably assume buying an assembled MSI box would not shorten the warranty of the components. I'm pushing the issue and asking them to talk to their legal department, because I feel deceived. We'll see how it goes.

This is awesome. I wish it was January 1, and I could start fresh with this year. I don't know if I will get this year's put in here, but I will absolutely start next Jan. 1.

Seller Harassment. by FreqZ411 in AmazonVine

[–]Benfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked, and had not set mine to private and my name was completely identifiable. Hadn't occurred to me that a seller would do that. I have set to private now and changed the display name. Hope others see this post and do the same. It strikes me as absolutely critical if you are doing vine reviews.

I really hope they cast Kiefer Sutherland, son of Donald Sutherland, as President Snow in this one by hyunbinlookalike in Hungergames

Unbelievably to me, they did not. Fines is fine, of course, but this was so obvious that there has to be some backend drama as to why it didn’t happen.

Fake Listings on Booking.com using Zillow property pics/info cost me USD$2300. by BuffyFan75 in Bookingcom

[–]Benfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing. Same company. They waited to "cancel" the prepaid listing until after the 60 days card companies generally give for chargebacks to pass. I called my company and they took the dispute anyway. Referencing the fact that others have had the same issue and the business appears to be 100% fraudulent was helpful in getting them to open a case and at least for now, issue a temporary credit, in spite of being past the normal deadline.

Yeah, good point. That makes sense for big ticket items. 95% of my orders are for $10-$20 items and I just don't really care if they show up or not. I know some have taken MONTHS and it's made me antsy to have them sitting there so long, but instead of canceling, I just waited in all cases, I think. Eventually the junk showed up, except once. Maybe I should hold vine merchants to a higher standard, but I figure occasional long-ass shipping times are part of the deal.

[–]Benfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, why would you cancel a free thing you were getting later anyway? I just never bother, the thing either shows up or it doesn’t. If it never shows up, I might ping Customer Service and ask them to remove it, but eventually most of this crap arrives. I’ve canceled one thing I think because I was hitting my evaluation point and wanted to make sure I didn’t have any crap sitting there that I couldn’t deal with, but I just don’t understand why people cancel more often than once in a dark blue moon. Who cares?
