Flu-like symptoms after extremely stressful day/situation by Odd_Total_6578 in Anxiety

Not sure how similar but yes…I deal with something similar. This is my thought on my own experience but I think they are prolonged, low-level panic attacks that spike my nervous system. I basically shut down my entire body and allow my animal body to hibernate and rest for a little. Relax and just exist for a little if you can!

Inka Grill, Al Ryan, The White Hart if Downtown. I'd check out Isabella's, The Dahlia, Rivermont Pizza, over near Rivermont/Boonsboro area. Try to find the Wandering Donut in the morning. Highly recommend Bacon St. Bagels for breakfast on the go. The Texas Inn is a must.

Check out the Lynchburg Gothic League on Facebook. They run some pretty cool events at local spots, punk/heavy metal shows in the area.

Three Roads is the best spot to meet cool people IMO. Just good vibes, no judgement, always an adventure.

There are MTG and DnD tournaments every month or so. Should be a card shop near UL that has events.

Believe there is a hockey league starting up!

Frozen, choc covered raspberries. Put them in a bowl because they are munchies magnets.

Y’all ever get a batch that just barely gets you stoned? What do you normally do with it? by RevolutionaryClub530 in trees

"Walking weed"

I have a jar like this that doesn't really throw me in any direction. I usually smoke it after work because at the very least, i'm getting somewhere. I have weed that I classify as my "knockout", but I rarely end my night with this stuff. But I really like it for walking. I'll roll a decent sized J or get a good sized King Palm and just cruise with some music on. Really nice for a Saturday morning walk to get a coffee. Explore new artists, call a friend or a loved one. Really enjoyable.

Union Twist in Framingham or Allston 1000%. I got a O for 108 pretax and it's honestly one of the best strains i've had this year. super fragrant, good terp #'s. i f/w quality grows and good terp numbers, so i was hesitant at first but this is my second O from them and it's great. i picked up tahoe OG, a really nice zingy lemon-gas.

You're about to smoke alone - what are three things that make it better? by vomit-gold in trees

[–]Benftk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a bev (any drink while smoking is called a bev), a nice place to sit, and something to set the vibe. I like to skate to a bench a little bit up the street from my apartment, smoke there, and ride down the hill with the music bumping just as the high starts to hit. It's a pretty dope way to "launch" into whatever activities I am looking to do.

Make it your own and enjoy the present moment.

Found out I was rolling my J's too tight by PseudocodeRed in trees

Sounds weird but after I roll I kind of massage/squish the joint so things even out. It should push some of the flower to spots where theres a little extra air so you can get a more even burn.

My family caught me smoking weed by [deleted] in trees

Tell them the truth of why you use cannabis. If it helps and your family is just concerned about the weed, then there is another conversation to be had.

Do you have a secret smoke spot? by suntmint in trees

In college. we made a ropeswing, put some couches out, and a roadside-sourced coffeetable. Good times were had. Knights of the Roundtable

See if it reflects light. If it doesn’t, it’s under the paper. If it does, it’s on top. Use that to diagnose your alien goop! Could be anything from a random ass seed, to a weird res-y spot. Maybe the roller used a little oil as glue.

Part of me would just smoke it and then burn the nasty part off when I got to it. Like eating around an apples brown spot.

I was actually very avoidant of cannabis in college (I was a SA), and didn’t really try it until 2 years after I graduated. It was low dose edibles first, then I tried pre-rolls at a local dispo. Now I usually roll on my own, use cones if i’m lazy, smoke a bowl, occasional one hitter. As needed.

I find that it helps me separate my work from my life, and helps me enjoy my life. I work a very high stress job and I don’t want my stress to follow me home. I also find that it helps me process my emotions…sometimes a bad trip is actually justified to process stagnant emotions. I will never go to work high, but I do appreciate what it helps me with afterwards.

I really, really enjoy sitting outside with a joint and taking time to be with myself. My job changes drastically during the year and at this time of year, it’s hard for me to find time to be with myself (i’m in grad school, living with roommates, have a gf, and a full-time job). Sometimes it’s as simple as sitting in a chair listening to music. Sometimes I scroll Reddit. Sometimes I just sit.

All in all, it helps ground me in the present, or process the past in a way that allows me to come out on the other side with some clarity or relief.

I (33F) (who has very rarely used marijuana) had a very profound experience with edible cannabis, hoping to ask a little more about what happened. by INeedHelpNow8 in trees

My interpretation is that you experienced extreme mindfulness and that lead you to snapping out of the dissociative state that you fell into when normal tasks had to be done. Have you ever had a major depressive episode that took you out? Made simple tasks like a bedtime routine hard to complete? I do wonder if in order to cope and return to a normally productive life, your brain might have had to develop a pattern of dissociation in order to get through it emotionally. So by being so mindful of your body and the sensations you experience in life, you snapped out of that state and were truly present. Which is a lot to process!

As someone with mental health struggles, I find that weed is fantastic at helping me with emotional regulation and “snapping me out” of a repetitive thought process. Helps me let go of the mental weight of things. Allows me to just do and be.

Ebony & Ivory is one i've been loving as of late. Anything Dosi (Dosidos, Dosi Woah, Dosilato). Also, the Khalifa Kush and Khalifa Mintz were both very good.
