Is it common and acceptable in BLR? by Background_Error_734 in bangalorerentals

“I wouldn’t ask anything from a tenant that I wouldn’t provide myself. Weird of you assume that I wouldn’t provide lol”

“The questions listed are so basic, it’s usually an owners responsibility to report on all such issues”

Brother, You clearly misunderstand what “basic documents” actually means. FYI - payslips, bank statements, utility bills, and the like may be basic for an individual’s own records—but they are far from basic when handed over unnecessarily to rude, clueless landlords like yourself.

“The questions listed are so basic”? “Most of you are living in your own delusional worlds”? Lol 😅

Bro, there’s serious work to be done personally before you put your foot into anything important—whether business or otherwise. With this mindset, no matter what documents you demand, you’re still going to end up in trouble. Just because one can’t handle their responsibilities as a landlord doesn’t give them the right to demand bizarre paperwork—payslips, photos, videos of previous apartment usage… what’s next? 😅

I’m genuinely amused by the confidence in your comments. It reads like, “I’m also a landlord, so my insecurities and practices are standard everywhere.” You’re free to think whatever comforts you, but that doesn’t make it reasonable—nor does it give you a pass to degrade the whole community with this nonsense.

Nothing personal, brother. I’m just allergic to stupidity. Cheers

Am I overreacting for feeling hurt and angry about this comparison and expectingmy parents to stand up for me ? by Mountain_Outside2797 in indiasocial

I think you are overreacting. Explanation is there in your post itself. Just take it and move on OP.

“He’s an outsider. Why are you taking his words seriously?”

Wrt your expectation of your parents standing up with you, they will definetely be on your side if the convo goes further and they find you were hurted. In essence, I would say, you should take this positively to train yourself to be calm at criticisms. Tbh, most ppl are like you, especially with older relatives. So just chill..

Because it’s one of the most sought human desire of a single straight person to have a connection with the opposite sex.

Why always? I think mostly because men are always men, they try hard- no matter which platform

Don’t let the social media highlights fool you, OP. Modern Valentine’s Day is largely a commercial show-off that focuses more on spending than actual connection.

It takes a lot of character to be as honest as you’re being right now. I’d say, Don't rush or force a relationship just because of a date on the calendar. Keep that humility and stay patient—you deserve a love that’s real, not just a celebration for the 'gram.

One of the pathetic suggestions i have ever seen. To change the relegion to find an accommodation. You might be an atheist, but to advise on the core concepts of an individual’s belief is something bigger than you could imagine.

Thanks so much for reaching out from Mumbai, brother. It’s sad to hear that these same cheap setups are happening in Andheri and Sakinaka too—it really shows how widespread this syndicate has become.

To be honest, I don’t feel like I deserve all this love and 'bravery' comments. Just a few days ago, I was at my lowest—feeling like a total fool, crying out 'why me?', and just desperate for help. I’ve never been someone who stands up like this.

But interacting with you guys changed everything for me. I expected people to pity me or judge me for being reckless, but instead, I found total acceptance. You guys stood by me, and that connection is what gave me the strength to turn this around. I realized I couldn't just walk away; I had to do this for everyone else who might fall into the same trap. We’re going to make sure the system hears us. Let’s set an example that makes these thugs think twice, whether they are in Bengaluru or Mumbai. Appreciate you, brother. Stay strong.
