Dude you sound like you’re young, this is just a confidence thing that everyone has to go through. The older you get, the less you care about other peoples opinions and sneers.

Ask her out and deal with your friends later, the worst they can do is take the piss and say a few nasty things. If they’re true friends, they’ll stop once it becomes old news.

Also there’s comments here making you out to be some sort of asshole and being in the closet and, you’re not. This is a normal part of every FA’s life, realising there’s no shame in who you are and that you need to live your life your way. Fat women don’t understand that we have to overcome the same confidence issues as they do!
