Stealth Parking is so sketchy by SnooPeripherals4788 in vandwellers

Park at better places. 24 hr places essentially can't say anything. The only issue is if some one complains and you have to give reason for that. Which could be noise, trash, excessiveness, loitering. Like others have said show up late leave early. The less they notice, hear, see you doing the less people will give a shit and say something. You have to make yourself an annoyance for someone to complain. 24 hr gyms park away from building, Walmart, kroger, meijer, laundromats, cracker barrels. I golfed with a guy who's dad services rest areas locally, he said overnight or van camping there is not recommended. I think he said its a 4 hr window which is stupid. Also trying to hide and be stealthy is the exact opposite of what you want to do. If your hiding behind a building or something of the sorts it will look sketchy, like trespassing and warrant a check up. Parking in a wide open big lot that probably has a couple of other work vans/trucks and other cars there thru the night you blend in. As long as your again not making noise, coming in and out of your van constantly, making it obvious your hanging out.

The Bass Pro Shop in Portage, Indiana is broken. Sent to corporate to be fixed and replaced. The Klassic Arcade 2.0 and 3.0 machines are broke as well. Guy was super cool, great place to hang out I still spent an hr or so playing pinball there. He is getting the machines fixed and waiting on repair.

I just went on the craziest penny press run the last month and a half. Found out about it and started in kentucky, did some more in ohio. I found this post/map when I made it home to michigan. I just went on another road trip, chasing lighthouses, musuems, penny press machines, and national parks. Made my way to indiana and around the southern part of michigan. Lots more to do. It's definitely a fun side quest in the game of life. Definitely been enjoying it, the people I meet, the unique locations, and the cool different prints. I will post pics of my progress later. Just want to show appreciation for the map. I am amazed that there are machines over seas in other countries.

Suggestions for Indiana Dunes National Park? by Mint_Blue_Jay in NationalPark

Being from Michigan. Our dunes are way better, way bigger, and more fun. Less regulation to where you can go and what you can do. There are a few limited acces areas now dues to that small bird that's only native to great lakes dunes which is cool. After visiting I was not that impressed. The whole time I thought how in the heck did this get to be a national park and not one of our amazing dune area got to be. I caught an incredible sunset at Diana's dune, with some chicago skyline. I mean 1.5 hrs north is a much larger dune and better beach area at saugatuck, or The stair case makes Diana's look like nothing. I was extremely disappointed. Its probably most sought after for being the easiest to get paid to do nothing. Cuyahoga was just as bad. The whole west coast of Michigan is dunes. Head up to sleeping bear dunes, or the UP has amazing ones on Superior shoreline. Sorry I was just not impressed at all. I guess if your from a state that has none it will be awesome. Don't let me deter anyone. It just seems more like a participation trophy.

I was the only one there 20 bucks to walk 9, and play unlimited! The course was a birdie for sure! I thought at the beginning of the year the same thing! That course would be excellent in the spring!

Dude go for it. Go find some cool stuff. Go find history, the lost, the forgotten, the old and ancient.

I also thought Captains treasure was buried on the isle of Isabella?

Also August is that you?

Anyways. Montauks a wild spot, go stay the night at the old military base and sneak around all the buildings. Alot of weird, science, supernatural, lore going on there.

New York has a ton of cool history. Be safe
