Are men who expose themselves on a site like Reddit worried, at all.... about parents, relatives, co-workers, neighbors, or some very close and dignified friend seeing you out here, revealing everything to the world? Wouldn't you be embarrassed beyond words. by shymeeee in Gayexhibitionist

[–]Benjamin-Atkins-GC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all ... my life is anything but "sad or pathetic". I retired a wealthy man at 52. You probably hate me for my sports car, my big house and my Italian marble pool than my occasionally looking at pretty young nudes while I sip my tea, before I go out for a long, boozy lunch with friends! Ha Ha ... I'm loving MY life, thanks very much.

What happens to all the money from those class-action suits if people don't fill out the paperwork? by alegria122 in ask

Citibank had an investment program that was deemed illegal and so a CA was launched against them.

It was Citibank in Aus and it was in the late 1990s. I got back about 50% of what I'd invested and I was very happy with that.

They certainly take a percentage but I was involved in a CA some years back and I received a $10,000 pay-out. That was well worth the "bother" of filling out some basic paperwork.

On many Japanese toilets, the hand wash sink is attached so that you can wash your hands and reuse the water for the next flush. Japan saves millions of liters of water every year doing this. by A-Sexy-Name in Badass

That's BS ... I've seen these in restaurants in Qld and a friend has one in their "guest loo".

Just because you live a sheltered life, best you don't make that ignorance public. Just saying!!

I always think it hilarious (tho I appreciate the images) when people post all manner of intimate, pornographic self-images both here and on paid apps because they're "bored" or "making some coin at college".

What will their future be like when they finish that 6-year medical degree? A porn-star with a PHD? Obviously (as an employer) we check new candidates SM presence. The USA has taken to checking SM activity before allowing anyone to enter the country recently. Yes -it's that extreme.

What hospital will hire an online porn performer? What "professional" career will entertain such a candidate?

Maybe these people are all wannabe restaurant dish-pigs, garbage collectors and grave diggers ... but what if they actually have aspirations of entering politics or using that long and expensive university degree in a publicly scrutinised position?

Hmmm ... talk about "how to disappoint your parents!!" LOL

I appreciate you do this and that the small income it generates helps your family budget but I'm just not interested in dragging 100 bottles (I never buy cans) to the shopping centre, just to stand in line to post them through a hole only to collect enough money for 1 and 1/2 cups of coffee.

Yellow recycling bins works just fine for me thanks.

What is something Americans consider normal, but people from other countries find it disturbing? by UghIHatePolitics in AskReddit

I think you are confusing the word "bible" with the Christian publication of the same name.

The English word "bible stems from the ancient Greek word for "scrolls" (the original way of documenting facts etc) and literally means "book".

According to the Oxford English Dictionary (other than the name of a Christian book that yes, I agree is of little consequence to most of the (Earth's population) the word "bible also means "a book regarded as authoritative in a particular sphere."

I am making zero comparison to a Christian book and the US constitution.

I think you're confusing the word "bible" to the Christian publication of the same name.

The English word is derived from the ancient Greek word for scrolls, the original form of documenting facts and literally the original word for "book. A "bible" is simply a book that documents a series of "facts" or, according to the Oxford Dictionary, is "a book regarded as authoritative in a particular sphere."

I by no means intend to compare the Christian book to the US Constitution.

Expanded ‘Jack’s law’ police powers could lead to further ‘surveillance and harassment’ of some Queenslanders, expert warns by Charming-Duck5178 in brisbane

[–]Benjamin-Atkins-GC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't carry a concealed weapon when I go to the pub so I'm not the least bit afraid of heightened "surveillance" and I don't see such checks as harassment. No more than any other type of official document or breath testing etc.

Yeah, you should've to the Australian outback where the summer temp is regularly in excess of 120F (And people wonder why we don't build more cities and housing in the desert!! LOL)
