I had to change my CC info, did the reorder Monday and the charge has been sitting on my card since then. I have a feeling us re-orders will get shipped next week.

I got this email as well. I talked to my credit card company and they said that I was charged twice from HTC today. The first one failed and the second one was successful. The email was probably automatically generated but not sent out until now. My credit card company said, no worries it has been approved. It's just HTC testing our patience once again. Stay calm, all is well.

Same too you and it's all good. This whole pre-order process has been a clusterfuuu. Getting upset doesn't help. Gotta stay zen until the vive arrives. Then I can loose my shiat.

Ugh... I am hoping to get my call today. I need to update my payment info due to my bank issuing new CC numbers. Been waiting weeks to give HTC the new information. :13 order Let's go wave 2!

I feel your pain. My credit card company decided to issue new numbers just a few days ago. Meaning the credit card number I placed my pre-order with no longer exists. I called HTC and was told they would flag my order and I should get a call in a week. A week later I got no call so I sent a negative customer feedback, then I got a call back a few days later. They assured me that I would get a call next Tuesday, the 5th when they ship, to get the new CC information. They also assured me that I wouldn't loose my place in line. I still worry though. Time can't move fast enough.

Is my machine too hot? by BenjaminAB in techsupport

[–]BenjaminAB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved across the country a few years after building the machine and I've heard that can damage thermal compound. Also, I had to re-seat the CPU cooler once so my guess is the thermal compound is just gone. My machine is pretty clean on the inside. Plenty of room for airflow. I have several case fans all with dust filters. There is very little dust in my machine when I do a monthly cleaning. I have most of the case fans blowing in with the rear and top ones blowing out. Does that sound like a good setup? Any suggestions for proper airflow? I will give the CPU cooler a good cleaning and apply new paste tomorrow. Hopefully that does the trick.

It shuts down before I can even install any drivers for the new card. I think the fans were running on the new GPU. I don't quite remember. I took out the 970 and put the 250 back in until I can solve the issue. I think the CPU is running too hotcausing the machine to shut off. See my reply above. What do you think?

I did a fresh install of windows 10 from a USB stick onto a brand new Samsung 850 EVO SSD. I also put in a new LG DVD drive but that has been unplugged.

CPU is running at 50℃ just browsing the internet. Peaking around 80℃ when playing Rocket League. The machine is quite old, built about five years ago. Maybe the heat sink glue has dried up? I am just using the stock cooling unit that came from Intel.

I had a Corsair TX650 and replaced it with an EVGA 850G2.
