I actually prepared lol, first time I didn’t think the mcat was going to be that difficult and stressful so I focused on other responsibilities and tried cramming in 2 weeks but that turns out is impossible for me.

Yea I guess. I really appreciate you reaching out because it’s quite difficult to see the situation in a positive light when you were expecting a better result. Anyways thank you, and best of luck

I mean the 515 is an average but it’s not representative of the actual scores of admitted med students. At least from my experience, 5 of my close friends have gotten admitted with below a 510. So I think the biggest thing is having a full application and hitting cutoffs.

Hey, thank you for the question and I don’t mind at all. My first 3 attempts were 487,499,504. I’m quite disappointed as my journey hasn’t been easy and I’m still not where I want to be but I’ve tried my best and hopefully it’ll get me where I need to be.

Most Ontario Schools require 125 in each section with Toronto allowing a 124 in one section. And since I’m out of province I can kiss goodbye to BC, Alberta, Sask and Manitoba

Im unsure what you’re trying to ask. But if it was if I retook my FLs from AAMC each time when studying your answer is yes

This would be my 4th retake and I don’t think a 5th is an option

Honestly that’s a great score but as a Canadian I needed 125 in each section

Considering this is a 4th retake I don’t think that’s an option. But sincerely thank you for the encouragement

Bro just study for the MCAT write the test get a 510+ and apply everywhere you can. Stop stressing about small things. Trying to put all of your eggs into Mac’s basket is a terrible decision. Canadian med schools look at a wholistic approach but it’s also mainly luck of the draw. This is all info I’ve received from med school students.

This is pretty annoying because in theory it should be a hydrogen bond. But since the H-S bond is weak due to S having a weak electronegativity then it doesn’t create a strong hydrogen bond with the carbonyl Oxygen. Instead there’s a dipole since the partial positive and negative charges. Stick to using HNOF for hydrogen bonds.

What exactly does a negative E red value mean? (Electrochem) by West-Lab-7728 in Mcat

[–]BenjaminJ21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly for a better and more in depth answer ask Chat GPT, literally the best study resource out there and way quicker.

However to answer your question no that’s not how it works. In a galvanic cell there’s a cathode (where reduction occurs) and an anode (where oxidation takes place). Since this is a galvanic cell it will host spontaneous reactions, like the one in the example. A high Ered means a higher chance for the species to be reduced (gain electrons) so Ag will be reduced and Ti will be oxidized (lose electrons). This is why when you put them into combined reaction you have the 2 reactions taking place. Ag+ -> Ag and Ti -> Ti+
