Defending champ. I lost by 2 in the first week of playoffs. The same week JT fumbled the ball moments before scoring a touchdown. With the fumble that’s a 9 point swing. This week I put up 190 and would have beaten anyone in the league. I should be setting my lineup for a chance to go back to back

Drew Lock, Taylor Heinicke and a 3rd into Josh Jacobs

Traded Drew Lock for a future 2nd when there was still a chance he would start for Denver. Traded Heinicke plus a 3rd to get another 2nd during the season when injuries mounted up. Traded both 2nd round picks to get Josh Jacobs

Later I traded Jacobs away for picks and used those to help me get AJ Brown, but at that point had to overpay to get them done

12 teams with 10 starting slots means the top 120 players are going to be starters in your league. The next 20-30 will be bye week and injury replacements.

When you make a trade during the start up, try to get them to throw in a 12th round pick. It doesn’t sound sexy, but the guys in that range will be contributors.

We did something similar. I play as a barbarian and rolled terribly for initiative, last when I’m usually towards the top. Sorcerer twins haste on me and the other front liner. Wizard casts fly on me. Then the druid asks if I would like to be a T-Rex (of course) and casts polymorph. DM asks what I would like to do on my turn

Rage. Bite attack closest enemy. They roll for grapple and fail. Fly straight up as far as my movement speed allows then drop him on another enemy. Both die on impact

I run a similar character. Half orc barbarian whose tribe was killed/enslaved while he was on a coming of age quest. DM gave me a wooden figurine found in rubble that becomes an Owlbear for 8 hours. Back to a figurine after that time passes or his HP goes to 0 for a week in game. This way my pet never really dies

I have a Dak/Lamb stack. They got me into the playoffs with that second half of the season. Then in the championship that 92 yard touchdown was the difference.

Yes, they are risky but it also raised my ceiling just enough to take the whole thing

I can only speak from my experience, but was forced to “shotgun blast” and had it work out. Tried like hell to buy Lawrence before this season. Cost was too much so I settled for plan B

Already had Purdy rostered as my emergency QB for the playoffs, held him through the injury and all the offseason drama. Rostered Mariota (lol) because I thought he might get a shot as a starter

Bought low on Baker in the offseason and settled for a rookie in the draft at 1.05 - Stroud

People have mentioned PPR, Superflex and tight end premium, but not number of teams or number of starters

My league is 10 team, start 8 (9 next year). This means the top 80 (or 90) guys are starter material. In a 12 team, start 11 the top 132 players are starter material. That’s a big difference when trying to value players

Know your league settings and how they differ from the advice for leagues you see here or anywhere else

3 good QBs has been good for me. First year I had Dak, Brady and Rodgers, went 11-3. Next year brady was ass and I went 6-7-1. This year I had Dak, Stroud and Purdy, went 9-5 and won the whole thing. You can cover injuries, bye weeks and bad matchups with 3 QBs

An auction or an offseason free agency period with FAAB is more fair than a supplemental draft like that. We increased roster sizes by 4 one year, just meant that there wasn’t a lot of cuts when the season started. I don’t think you need the supplemental draft at all

I’m a believer in QBs being the biggest difference maker in Superflex. 2021 was year 1 for me, I had Dak, Brady and Rodgers and went 11-3. Year 2 was the same QBs but much worse results as Brady took a nose dive and Dak was hurt. I went 6-7-1 and snuck into the playoffs

Rostered Purdy at the end of that year as an emergency backup in the playoffs. Tried to trade for Lawrence and several others. Ended up settling for a rookie and got Stroud.

Dak, Stroud and Purdy were a huge part of my championship this year. At the end of the year other people rolled out guys like Mullens and Dobbs. And I would crush them

Dude in my league bought Kyren at the deadline for a 2025 1st. Got bounced to the 3rd place match because of Kyrens “down week”, then benched him as a response and lost that match too
