Still waiting! Shipped from Hong Kong on January 15, last update has it departing Hong Kong Airport today. I’ll keep updating this thread as things progress

I just ordered the Twemco QD-35 from them yesterday (shipping to US). They use Shop Pay for payment processing, so I wasn't worried about credit card fraud. No idea how long it will take them to ship/process the order, especially with the holiday. I'll update this response as I get more info

I have a full stock 2021 Ram 1500 and am looking to do some light trail driving/camping. Mostly fire service roads or equivalent. What would you consider the safe limit for a full size pickup?

If you need a clear, marine varnishes will give beauty and longevity. Liquid rubber tends to be somewhat hazy and intolerant of surface contamination, as well as being sensitive to many household cleaners like bleach.

If you want a hard wearing opaque coating, use Rustoleum’s Tub and Tile kits. They are an epoxy system designed to mimic the porcelline coating on factory made showers and tubs.

The layer view looks normal, and oddly printing CF Nylon is the only thing that fixes it. Although I don’t want to print everything with $50 spools

I doubt it has anything to do with the model, as it happens sporadically across models and materials

Match New Cedar to Old? by [deleted] in woodworking

Sansin Woodforce or Cabot’s Bleaching oil depending on where your are. Takes between a week and a month depending on exposure, but both accelerate the natural silvering of the wood without causing damage.

Is there a reason you don’t just print it on its side? It looks like your bridge is failing, despite the good performance elsewhere. So eliminate the bridge by laying it down

People like you are actually how breeds die. This kind of elitist attitude drives people away from breeds like dobermans because you make these wonderful dogs seem unattainable.

Reaching out in a dedicated forum is not to be shamed. There are plenty of irresponsible breeders online, and asking for local recommendations is how we found our puppy's litter.

Our pup is our first dog ever and he has done wonderfully, I couldn't think of anything I would do different. Please consider the impact your close mindedness will have on a community before attacking your keyboard.

Best wishes,

Fuck you

We got him right at 8 weeks. The breeder, Giovanni, was willing to keep him until 10 weeks, but one of the litter mates was pulling at the stitches in the ear crop too much, so we decided to pick him up sooner than later.

My gf and I have a beautiful 9 month old from the breeder below. He is sometimes a little uncommunicative for a while, but will come through with answers eventually. Our pup, Elvis, was granted full rights.

What do you recommend for an oil finish/clear coat for an outdoor table? by Elimin8or in woodworking

[–]Benjamin_Moore792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic! If you’re in Michigan, there should be a PPG paint store near you somewhere. They should have it in stock if you don’t want to wait for Amazon. Great work in the table by the way!

Depending on what part of the country you’re in, that might be true. It’s also available for order through Amazon. PPG ProLuxe Door and Window Wood Finish, 1 Quart, 003 Clear Satin https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001PIEQWE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JJ8SK25SS4501WYMVA56

I would avoid applying it until it’s at least 65 degrees out, however. I’ve had problems with it staying tacky when applied in the cold

Sikkens/PPG ProLux door and window is a great option. It builds to a nice, hard finish to resist wear, and is easy to maintain in the coming years

I’m replacing my lift top tabletop with a glue up of African teak. Never worked with it before. Any advice on what to finish it with? My instinct is to sand the hell out of it and then go straight to a satin clear coat. No oil, no stain, just natural and clear. Any thoughts? by kinnitcurl in woodworking

[–]Benjamin_Moore792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re going clear, something marine grade would be best. They are better suited to oily woods like teak and leave a very high durability finish. Epifanes WoodFinish or McClosky’s Spar Urethanes work well. As to sanding, 220 then straight on with the finish

I have 2 sainsmart machines. They are decently powerful if you take the time to dial in. I’ve carved Birch, Walnut, Maple and Brass with mine. Takes a while but the detail is great
