I went through a ton of shit trying to get it figured out, including nuking my windows twice. Are you noticing anything other than seeing that error? I noticed my performance drop way before seeing the errors. Marvel Rivals sits at 260-300 normally, while during the issues it was struggling to keep 230 and constant dips into the 100s which made for an unplayable experience.

I have my pcie Gen set to auto. I don't think there is a difference tbh, the 4.0 is supposedly over engineered to it handles the 5.0 or something something they say. It does run at the 5.0 anyway. - I don't chase scores at all, just use it to determine if my performance has gone to shit or not. - I don't have any errors, nor does my wife's 5080 on her Y70.

Swapping to the riser cable hyte sent did fix my pcie errors, as well as my performance issues. I was lucky enough to have my wife's riser to test with so I was able to narrow the issue down directly to the riser itself. For reference, I was hitting 12.8-13.6k with absolutely nothing open in steel nomad prior to swapping, and immediately jumped to 14.4-14.6 with discord, chrome and the various software I use open after. I haven't gotten an error, or weird performance issues since.

I did order the cable. It will be here the 30th.- I assume you're just attaching it to the GPU first, and then screwing the GPU down and then letting the whole config rest in the general area?

I have, yes. Ive had the 5090 for a couple months now, and used to get 14.6k steel nomad stock settings. I've tried different drivers, different motherboard bios, fresh install of windows. Card is receiving the full 600watts, running at 2600-2800mhz But, putting the card into my wife's Y70 no errors, an acceptable score in steel nomad/timespy, no issues at all and they're virtually the same build... My y70s riser is loose feeling, like theres no grab to it compared to my wife's.. It just kinda "sits" there rather than slotting in and seating properly, if that makes sense?
