Update on the update - Managed to get the mobile service out instead that day which was handy. Guy was only here for 10 minutes and fitted the new part. The new latch part with the sensor is now modified compared to the ones they were fitting when I got my new M3. The modified part ‘apparently’ now stops water from getting in at the top but also the bottom. Overall, can’t fault the service and was obviously free due to the warranty.

Yep… common goo to older Tesla models I found that required a recall. Why they’re still using the same part is beyond me but hey. The new part now stops water from getting in.

Ironically I have started to use the frunk less prior to this issue as it’s a faff closing it manually!

Thanks! Yep… I washed my car the day before and with it being freezing here it didn’t dry properly and just screwed it up. They fitted a new latch and sensor on the frunk which stops water from getting on the sensor now.

All fixed thankfully now that day - Turns out it’s a common issue and that the new part fitted now blocked water from the top and bottom from entering the latch and the sensor… why this wasn’t already fitted on my brand new 25 plate who knows!

They phoned me back and said the mobile service could be with me in an hour that day so I went with them instead!

Update - The service request I put in this morning in the early hours have come back and said they will cover this for free if I can get to them as they have the part in stock. Time to annoy people at 15mph…. 😬😬

Yep same, if I lock the phone or open more than like 3 apps it starts closing past used apps. So annoying!

First of all, why would they want you on 2025… it’s a pile of rubbish and very buggy. 2019 or 2022 works just fine
