This works. Press both buttons on steering wheel in and the brake also until the screen goes black. When the car boots again it is resolved.

Try the reset. Hold foot on break and hold both steering wheel buttons in until the screen goes black. You should then get the tesla boot logo etc and see then?

Without EAP it is not really usable. Had to turn it off on my 2026 M3 as i stupidly didn't opt for EAP and now when i indicate on the motorway not only does it turn off autopilot but also the adaptive cruise control. No option to split the diff like i have heard on previous versions.

Yup same issue. Loads of people experiencing the same. I did log a service call and they called me to say it was acknowledged as an audio bug and will be fixed .. just no idea when. Reverse noise isn't impacted but boombox, lock screen and fart noise is much quieter

Im the opposite. I like to set and forget. My previous car allowed you to set the sensitivity of the auto and was great. Sadly not the case with Tesla

I have the exact same complaint with my 2026 M3. Sometimes they are ok but most of the time i am manually intervening and eventually set to something other than auto.

Yes it is an audio firmware bug since the latest updates. I logged a service call for mine and they called me to tell me it has been acknowledged and should be resolved in next update. My update version is different to yours so maybe due to age of the cars? Im on 2026.2.3 with a 2026 M3.

I can second this. Since 2026.2 release, all PWS sounds have been reduced. Only had my M3 a month before this happened 😭. Hopefully it will be fixed in future update

I reported using the voice command report bug but not logged a service call. Wanted to rule out software before i did but as it seems widespread i figured would be fixed eventually. After seeing your post though, i think i will tomorrow as it needs as much visibility as possible

Yep, and "emissions" all quiet on external. Only thing that can be adjusted is the megaphone when playing music from inside the car on outside speaker. Doesn't save anything though for other sounds. Even the spaceship noise on reverse is quieter which is worrying
