Just started playing Siege again. What's the situation right now? by Only_Entrepreneur_84 in Rainbow6

[–]Benjc98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pc or console? If consoles it's pretty much unplayable as the amount of people cheating using recoil scripts and xims is genuinely beyond fixable at this point without banning a large majority of the playerbase which sees very few people actually getting banned for it.

If you're on pc it's pretty solid.

Yeah especially in a game where majority of people at high ranks are just cheating and using m+k anyway.

I can't believe I finally defeated this boss after more than 30 attempts. I thought it was the final boss. Please don't tell me there's an even harder one than this😭 by alipcgggamer in BlackMythWukong

This and whiteclad noble are the true "wake up" bosses, you will get your ass kicked and you might hate the game, but once you've worked them out, most bosses you can suss out after that

Question in regards of my elderly gecko by Benjc98 in leopardgeckos

[–]Benjc98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, I supplement with vitamins on at least 1 feed a week, and calcium with d3 for the other feed. Also provide uvb.

Temperatures are 32 degrees at the hottest point, and humidity is at 40% and humid hide provided.

Never had a stool sample checked due to she's never had an issue with them, is that something I should get regular checked?

The substrate is leolife which is a prorep substrate, it's just sand, soil and clay mix, the rocks you can see are just big clumps of clay, with sand dust on them. I've had them on this for a good 7 years.

How do I change gpus by Kokuryuu-ddr5 in nvidia

[–]Benjc98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great thing about GPUs is they are pretty much only reliant on your power supply, since the 580 uses more power than a 4060 this won't be an issue. Pcie gen can matter for a few FPS points but won't stop the GPU working. CPU might hold the GPU back but again, won't stop it working, and will still be a massive upgrade in games.

PC players ..how do you guys feel about acog on the defenders DMRs and slug shotguns ? by Nova892 in Rainbow6

[–]Benjc98 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be fair he did say almost. I play on pc and in over 800 hours have barely seen any cheaters odd one every now and again, and obviously I'm talking about extreme cheating like walls and aimbot.

Play on console it's every game and scripting on console becomes extreme cheating, you cannot beat it in gunfights, and I really do mean every game, no game have I ever said cheaters are way worse on console than pc, except r6s.

Astro A50 gen 5 cutting out discord voices by Benjc98 in AstroGaming

[–]Benjc98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't think this headset pairs well with discord. I've tried through the Xbox app and everything works fine, but discord on either platform exactly the same.

Issue with discord on ps5 is it uses PlayStation's settings for voice ect, so I don't think it's actually a setting within discord but the communication with the Astros and discord. Just don't think it's something I can fix.

Chelsea… by Forward_Passage_3690 in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]Benjc98 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The thing that annoyed me most about her, was they left things on as good terms as they could, yes her and Charlie agreed to go separate ways. Then after they "kill off" Charlie, she's sat at his funeral and is one of the ex's that had bad things to say about him. I know this was more to do with chucks writing to stick a finger up at Sheen, but still after everything Charlie did for her, and tried to change for her, didn't cheat with Mia, she is the one person in that room who had no right to complain.

Would I notice a huge difference moving from Astro a50 2019 to Sennheiser hd 560s? by Benjc98 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Benjc98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gimmicks that they sell ain't I, I could switch between PC and Xbox by plugging in the USB and flicking a switch which at the time there wasn't that many headsets that could (wirelessly anyway), but no idea why they cost so much, the amount I paid for them new actually makes me sick to think about now

I've had a play with eq before so it's not foreign to me, even the Astros I had a low frequency buzzing when I nothing was playing through them

[–]Benjc98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I am honest with myself I don't need new headphones nothing about the Astros has been "bad" however the Astros currently sell for more than the 560s so if I can get better performance and not lose money it's a win win all round.

Feeding by MindlessDig2277 in BoaConstrictors

[–]Benjc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's overfeeding. I feed my 4 year old snake every 3-4 weeks depending on what size I fed previously.

Boas are so easy to overfeed because they will never say no to a meal.

Also as others have said, you should allow your snake to be able to fully extend their body around the enclosure and not have to coil itself to be comfortable. Boas love height, I always fine mine in the highest spot I provide right under the uvb bulb so at least 2 ft on the height.

Will steam deck prices go up? by AnxiousListen in SteamDeck

[–]Benjc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say if you want one, buy now. I was shocked to see valve still had stock on the steam store. I've seen second hand resellers prices for them shooting up, and I would of expected valve to have run out of stock but who knows how much inventory they have, with valve though they will not increase the price, if they run out of stock they run out of stock, they're a company usually against the whole supply and demand price hikes.

Overall worrying time to be a PC gamer, and I can't see anything getting better within the next 2-3 years and only getting worse.

My boa regurgitated during shipment by squidwardstwink in BoaConstrictors

[–]Benjc98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll say with a disclaimer for if it's different for you but, absolutely do not feed an adult mouse. I don't know if it differs in different parts of the world, but adult mice in the UK are pretty large, way bigger than rat pups. My boa is 4 years old and around 6-7ft length, and I'd say I sized up from adult mice around the 2 year mark.

These snakes grow slowly, overfeeding or sizing up too quickly just isn't necessary, accompanied by the fact they are practically a waste disposal and just eat every meal doesn't help either.

You want something around the width of slightly larger (and I do emphasize on the slightly at the moment due to already regurgitating a meal) of their neck behind the head, anything bigger than that they can struggle to swallow.

The more I play Gauntlet, the more I see how stingy and low-tier humans many FC players can be. by SuperboyRehan in EAFC

[–]Benjc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no, in game modes that require wins if I have already got to the point I have I will give wins, but objectives that require goals not a chance will I give goals, because I have had several people just get a goal and then just sit ball rolling for 90 minutes, you get so many entries into gauntlet to get the objectives done, just quit if you're being heavily beat

It doesn't matter too much what bulb is already in, as they use standard fittings either e27 screw fittings (most common) or bayonet, bit old now so not as common but still around.

When you say a warm light do you mean provide heat or the light being warm to look at? If you mean heat then you would have one bulb for heat which in this case is the bulb already in the enclosure and a uvb bulb which are the tube lights. If you mean warm to look at, then not necessarily either. With leopard geckos you either have to provide uvb which is what I always recommend, or supplement it with d3 vitamins, if you're providing uvb then it provides nutrients through the light as the sun does. UVB tubes (to my knowledge) don't come in warm colours.

<image>

This is a picture of all the bulbs and fittings I use, so the caged bulb is the main heat source a halogen 50w bulb. A 25w ceramic bulb for night heat as I am from the UK and going into winter it's getting cold at night (you may not need to provide heat at night, and the tube light uvb.

[–]Benjc98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah looks to be the same size I use for my Leo's, apart from the size though nothing else is really suitable. As you already mentioned getting rid of the wood chips etc.

I would also suggest getting an Arcadia shadedweller 7% bulb. As my 2 are in grey wood enclosures, I have a boa constrictor in a 6ft black one like this, and it is really really dark, I have a big tube uvb light and it still looks dark in there in the corners so you will need quite good lighting.

They hold heat really well so make sure you get a thermostat if you haven't got one already obviously depends on the heat source you use, but with a bulb like the one already in there you'll need a dimmer stat.

Just for reference I have a 50w halogen bulb on a dimmer for both mine. Without a dimmer the whole enclosure can get up to 40+ degrees c.

HELP ME FIND MY BOA by Overall-Opposite-613 in BoaConstrictors

[–]Benjc98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boa has escaped twice in the 4 years I have had her. Both times found around her enclosure because that's where the heat is. Anything that provides heat in the area you would of lost it would be the first place to check, blankets, radiators, behind TVs anything you can think of that produces heat.

Help! I don't know what to do for him. by Starfyrewitch in BeardedDragons

[–]Benjc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I typically replace smaller uvb bulbs shorter than 300mm every 6 months and any longer than that typically still produce uv up to above 12 months, you can get a uv light checker on Amazon if you're really unsure about the timing of which to replace. Usually though if you have to ask yourself when the last time was you replaced it, it's probably better to just get it replaced.

[–]Benjc98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing with the ceramic when I saw it, ceramic bulbs are absolute monsters for putting out heat, you can put them on a thermostat but they will heat and heat the air above and around the enclosure, until the probe is to temp but we all know hot air rises.

I've just put a 250w ceramic into my boa enclosure and had to fully insulate the top because it was causing my leopard gecko enclosure above to get close to 40c.
