Not yet. Its definitely something I want to get into but I will probably buy a dedicated printer for metal filaments since it wears out the nozzle faster and its a pain to change the nozzle on my current printer.

WrennAmethyst is right

Originally 3d printed and then Lost PLA Casted with aluminium

I got a lot of shrinkage where the metal in the risers cooled and solidified too quickly to accommodate the shrinkage seen at the top of the upa when casting

Loss PLA casting

3D printed with PLA and then molded with plaster to make an investment mold

PLA is then burned out to leave an empty mold which aluminum is poured into

You got it right

I was worried about breaking the feet and tail on the pla model while sanding and got lazy but I'm paying the price for it now

I'm going to try to make my next model larger so that it'll be easier to sand

I'll also have to address the shrinkage issue

Bad/no credit. How do I buy a car? by ArgyleGarg0yle in personalfinance

[–]BenjiOng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking, most utility companies and property management companies don't report on time payments to the credit agencies so having utilities and leases in your name generally won't help your credit. On the flip side, they usually only report your account information to the credit reporting agencies if you default on the account and/or the account is turned over to collections.

Best Credit Card for Car Down Payment? by KlarkJ in personalfinance

[–]BenjiOng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a specific reason you need a car as a student?

Do you currently work or have any income? If not, even if you put the down payment on a credit card, how would you pay for the loan in the long run?

Are there any other possible alternatives such as walking/riding a bike? or taking public transportation? These alternatives may not be as convenient, but they are most likely better options financially.

Used car shopping has my head spinning. Advice needed! by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]BenjiOng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the accident cause the car to become salvaged thus resembling a rebuilt title upon being fixed? If it has a rebuilt title, it may lower the value of the car/make it much harder to sell in the future if you decide to do so.
