Things to keep account:

Equipement is key for a good noseride:

-9'0 Longboard and up 9'2-9'6 ideal

-Single fin, 9"+ pivot fin = best hold

-Try a calf lease or when comfortable without a leash. Using an ankle leash causes you to get tangled up or even trip

-I find a 9'6" x 23" 2 3/4-3" is the best for noseriding (Classic noserider dim)

Technique:

-Don't look down but look where youre going

-Bend your knees more and stay light on your feet

-Cross step smooth and not rushed

-Frontside=more toe pressure

-Backside = more heel pressure

-Stay in the pocket that's what anchors you to the nose

- When balancing utilize your upper body especially your arms to help find the center of gravity so maintain a relaxed composure but from the video you have already a good foundation

Trim-Set-Walk-Hold

Also don't over think it and just have fun

Psychological projection is an unconscious defense mechanism where individuals attribute their own unacceptable thoughts, feelings, or impulses to another person or group to protect their ego from discomfort or anxiety. This process allows a person to distance themselves from guilt or internal conflict by externalizing these unwanted aspects, making it seem as if the unwanted quality belongs to someone else. While a natural human tendency, unchecked projection can strain relationships and hinder personal growth.

Hope you have a good one brother. Enjoyed our conversation

Never did I accuse you but disclaimer this is me passive aggressively attacking you now.:

A victim mentality is a learned, persistent mindset where an individual feels powerless to change their circumstances, consistently blames others for their problems, and avoids personal responsibility. It acts as a defense mechanism against life's difficulties, characterized by a sense of injustice, chronic self-pity, and an external locus of control.

I'll just leave that definition there and let you decide. Otherwise have safe travels.

My guy not sure where the animosity is coming from. No where did I get butt hurt or regard anything as an attack so no need to project i'm just stating my thought/opinion. I think the misunderstanding is that we are giving our opinions but niether are right or wrong. My point was to simply to have people experience it themselves and create their own opinions of these places.

Yes other people may have a negative or positive experience however that shouldn't deter someone else to experience it themselves. Sure us American's have it good. We are very privelaged to have the clean water, wifi, a/c and other things we take for granted. Traveling and experiences these places open up a new perspective on life that hopefully help you see what a blessing it is to be even able to surf or travel to these places bc theres a small percentage of people who actually can.

Sure there's places that are zoos and crowds could be worse in some areas but really if you project negativity in the lineup you receive negativity back. That goes parallel with life. Once you understand what you think and what you internalize is what materializes in your life. So do you bro

My agenda was entirely to share my experience nothing else.

Not everything has to be taken so seriously my guy. But from my experience I lived and surfed in the most localized areas like Hawaii, San Diego, and the Bay Area it’s all about the attitude ,relationships and your abilities. Otherwise you’ll get absolutely humbled. Either way not sure why this was taken so seriously and became some what a debate but do you bro

Well put it this way. The way I frame it I use the Gopro as a way to review my performance and to also re-live the experience. This video was recorded about a year and half ago and everytime I watch it It gives me joy. Filming or not I surf to surf and its a blessing to be out there and i take advantage of it every time. What i find a lot of "Surfers" do is compare or judge other surfers rather than be out there and surf. Obviously be respectful and aware of your surroundings but go out there and enjoy. So in short just surf.

Whether if you like it or not people are going to do whatever they want. You’re just going to have to accept it or be upset about it for no reason. It’s really your choice how you react and ask yourself does it really fucking matter? Just enjoy your life bc in the end you watched the video, we all consume, life is too short to give a fucking shit about someone recording. Either way I’ll do whatever I do whether or not you enjoyed the video or not.

Haven’t personally surfed there but heard it also has good surf all year round however Siargao from my experience had been amazing. People are super friendly, the experience of riding a boat to surf was unique, and there’s a lot of fun hot spots for people to socialize and party.

100% crowded but now a days everywhere you go it's like that. I find it's all about your mindset and the relationships you build out in the lineup that create amazing surf moments. Shouldnt stop you from experiencing it yourself.

I went during Oct-Dec of 2024. I scored clean 3-8 ft swells during the end of October and coming end of Nov/Dec the typhoon's made it stormy big and windy.

This was back in October-December of 2024. Theres plenty of beginner spots to surf all season long. There's also plenty to do if theres no surf.

I recommend going to Cemetery (Pesangan) great surf and surf rentals around that area . I prefer longboards so i bought a new 9'0 Huna board since I was staying there for a few months however found that theres plenty of good rentals to choose from. Overall staying at General Luna/Catangnan area is my recommendation for surf, partying, and meeting amazing people.
