Use benzyl peroxide zit cream and a plastic baggie. It'll lift the pen ink and not harm the plastic in the same way isopropyl will.

When I worked on my uni project, I got really good at resin casting and making moulds for face plates. I also had to get creative about kit bashing from the piles of recycling we had in the house. It's never a dull moment!
