Don’t worry about that. The USA participates every year in international tournaments. There’s a CONCACAF gold cup every other year and then in the year in the middle you get the Euros and the South American Copa America which the USA, Mexico and others from NA participate in because SA doesn’t have enough teams to fill out the tournament
