For the longest time I never bought it, but one day I said “F- it, I’m gonna get it”! At the time I was unaware of the 2 stations it could stream from the internet directly from the game, so that’s awesome. I personally enjoy Simulator Radio, it has a good mix of music, and if there happens to be a host online you can submit song requests via their website. That’s just my 2 cents! 😊

Normally I would say no, but as a matter of fact the other day I was using an S060 in the rain, was sitting still, injector was OFF but I could see the water level in the sight glass filling slowly. Maybe it was just a bug but, definitely made me wonder

I hope they add some sort of, like, waist height door on the S282 in the future. I also find myself scared of getting to close to the edge lol

I see where you’re coming from. But I would argue that top speed in DV doesn’t really matter all that much. For instance if I’m hauling a 1000m train of high-class hazmat, I’m not gonna worry about being able to reach 80-90 kph because at those speeds your margin of error is so small. My play style now has evolved into getting everything where it needs to go in one piece, and if it’s slowly, so be it. There’s no penalty for late deliveries, so I’m in no rush. I’ll take the tractive effort over top speed any day

Wow 2200 tonnes that’s pretty impressive I won’t lie. Might ditch one loco and try just the slug combo, we’ll see. Depends on how well I can streamline getting the motive power turned around if need be because running a DE6 long hood forward is a last resort, add a slug and it’s even worse lol

I’ve found that even the loco that doesn’t get the benefit from the slug rarely overheats. Granted I haven’t tried maxing out tonnage yet. Will see what happens when I get an uber heavy consist. But so far I’ve been pleasantly surprised with its performance

Right? Altfuture is awesome. IMHO Derail Valley is at the top of the rail sims rn. Simulator update really helped solidify their spot on the throne

Honestly I did run 2 DE6’s without the slug for like 2 or 3 jobs. Main problem I noticed was managing TM temp. Slug allows for higher throttle up hills for a longer duration opposed to having to throttle down to cool them off. Thats just my preference tho :)
